Great hotel

Had a really wonderful time at this lovely hotel. Room was comfortable with good facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. Smooth check in felt very at home. Didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend.

It will be nice when the building work is done

I decided to leave early and stay in Liverpool for a night . I emailed to say I would arrive 4 pm on my first night and had to ask Expedia for help to get into the building after a 35 minute wait. Lots of building work going on but one redeeming thing was the low price for the room each night

You won’t be disappointed!!

John & Luke are lovely Hosts, very helpful and friendly. We had Clara room which is boutique style. We had an extra kids room, so plenty space for us. The hot breakfast exceeded my expectation, big plate and tasty. The towels and bedding were fresh and comfortable, but would have liked a hand towel. As we were at The Pigeon Weekend, we shower twice a day, so would have liked fresh towels daily, but not a major issue. We didn't get daily housekeeping as stated on Website. Room was a bit dusty in corners etc, but for the money we paid we were very comfortable. Wall clock was lovely, but the ticking kept me awake.

Wonderful experience

I felt compelled to share with you the wonderful experience I had recently at the hotel I stayed in. What a delightful day it was! The hotel was of a very high standard, and the customer service I received was truly exceptional. I must say that even though the room was quite small, it was understandable given the reasonable price of 19 pounds a night. Despite the size, the room was immaculately clean, and I was very pleased with the overall service provided. One of the highlights for me was the lovely and clean shower, which was a refreshing experience. Although it was located on the floor below, it did not detract from the positive impression I had of the hotel. My stay was truly memorable, and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this establishment. I am already looking forward to returning for another visit in the future. Upon reading some previous reviews mentioning the presence of mold in the shower, I was pleased to find that this was not the case during my stay. From my perspective, the bathroom facilities were spotless, reaffirming my positive recommendation for this hotel. I believe that anyone looking for a clean and pleasant accommodation option will find this hotel to be an excellent choice. It was a pleasure to share this positive experience with you, and I hope that you too have the opportunity to enjoy a stay at this exceptional hotel in the near future.

Great location

Great location. Close to the train and tram station. Few minutes walk to the seaside or town. Very nice and friendly staff. During the check-in guys offered me a different room with higher standard. Spacious and comfortable room, decorated with a style. Tiny but comfortable bathroom.

Don’t book a single room! First impression - the whole place stank of cigarette smoke. The owner took me up to my tiny attic room, entered the room before me and rushed to close the blind - very awkward and presumably to hide all the mould on the surrounding paintwork). The room floor was splattered in paint with unpainted blobs of filler around the door frame. The sockets looked unsafe and there was a nail on the floor by the door. The owner told me there was no en suite bathroom – only a shared bathroom on the floor below. The room details on Expedia state ‘hydromassage shower head. Bath or shower.’ This is a blatant misdescription. The stairs up and down to the attic level are VERY steep. Beware if you have mobility issues or vertigo! The shared bathroom has a shower (with an ill-fitting curtain so the bathroom gets flooded) that’s caked in mould and the shared toilets on both floors have no toilet brush meaning they are caked in other people’s faeces. You WILL smack your head on the low ceiling above the bed several times! And the mattress is ultra-soft with a clearly defined dent that you inevitably fall into. My back and neck were wrecked after one night. Also no bedside table to place a drink etc. The hotel is in Blackpool’s gay quarter and covered in the associated paraphernalia, in case that isn’t where you want to be or you don’t want to explain to your kids what all that paraphernalia means. This is also left off the photos - another clear misdescription.

Worst hotel we've ever stayed at. Avoid at all possible costs. This referred to a hotel booking for 2 nights. Upon arriving, we quickly realised the room was unsuitable. It was absolutely filthy. It wasn't clean at all. It stank of smoke. The bedsheets had stains on them and hair all over them. The shower had black mould in it. We checked in around midnight (which the staff member seemed annoyed that we dared check in so late, despite us forth warning them of our arrival time months in advance and paying for a late check in). We then proceeded to wander the streets of Blackpool until 2am during a storm to find alternative accommodation. No hotels were available, so we were forced with no option but to return to the hotel and stay 1 night. It was the worst hotel night experience we've ever encountered. The fire alarm went off in our room at 3am, which nearly gave us a heart attack. We had to sleep with the window wide open just in an attempt to alleviate the stench of smoke. We then checked out early and forfeited our 2nd night. The hotel staff have since claimed there was nothing wrong with the room. No doubt they'll attempt to respond to this review with claims the room was fine. Trust me, it was not fine. It was the dirtiest room we've ever stayed in. We addressed the issues with the staff when we checked out early and the response was that they'd simply get another staff member to call us, which they of course never did.

Amazing value, just what we wanted

Luke and John welcomed us and our cat. Clean, comfortable beds, hot showers and room plenty big enough for our 2 kids too. Good full English breakfast included, and great value for money. Will be back next year.

Disaster unhappy customer

Not so good stayed in pigeon loft no 8.... Sky window mouldy spores needs, urgent attention. Bumped head about 12times causing some injury had to leave Sunday, stairs, death trap, no room service no coffee tea, or milk sachets, had buy extention lead for medical equipment. Couldn't swing a, cat bathroom too far away from loft attic. Ruined stay cation, won't be visiting again breakfast bacon raw... The propierer kept blocking entrance constant smoking in main entrance. Extremely dissapointed, feel dangerous... Fire alarm went off 10mins,6am today with no response from owners. Need I go on disgusted
