A True Gem

We felt so lucky to have stayed in San Rocco Palace. It was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed, and the people we interacted with were kind and helpful. Dubrovnik is built on hills, so this hotel like every hotel in the old town will require climbing multiple stone steps.

ドブロブニクは階段がとても多い土地です。 ホテルも階段を上らないといけないので、荷物が重たいと大変です。 スタッフさんはとても良い方でした。 チェックイン前にホテル周辺で迷っていたら迎えに来てくれました。 ありがとうございました。 部屋は広く、とても快適でした。

Though this is a lively, spacious, modern, quiet apartment in the center of Old Town, be advised it is located halfway up a picturesque but VERY long and steep stone staircase worn smooth by centuries of feet and mostly lacking in handrails. We had great weather but on a wet day it might be dangerous for the less agile. Stairs are a charming fact of life in Dubrovnic, but this one is so steep that tour groups kept stopping to take photos.

Advertisements and other information regarding the properties do not tell you that you will have to carry your luggage a minimum of 75 to 100 very steep, old, uneven cobblestone type steps in very hard conditions. Once arriving at our room, we had another 45 steep steps to get into a room. Please note that you cannot go to the office prior to going into your room on your own. There is no downstairs office. The office is a few blocks away from the rooms. Elderly people, totally frustrated and angry, just as we were when we first realized we would have to carry our bags up the steep and dangerous steps.

Good things 1. Room is big and nice 2. Reception is ok 3. Location is not bad Should improve 1. Amenities 2 pillow is not comfortable 3 bathroom is clogged 4. Should improve housekeeping service 5. Too many steps to get to the room 6. Pay euro 802 for 2 nights which is not worth paying 7. I travel a lot but Not recommended with this price

The property is gorgeous and impeccable. Very close to restaurants and a short walk to the wall. The negative, is the locks to the room that never really worked even after someone came to show us how to lock the door. It should not be this difficult to feel safe. It wasn't just us, as we heard someone helping the room upstairs and proceeded to slam the door trying to get the strike to align and work.

El hotel es muy bonito, el servicio a cliente excelente, la persona que limpia, no hace limpieza general el piso permaneció sucio a pesar de reportarlo.. la vista del balcón espectacular, sólo que llegar al hotel es subir muchísimos escalones, más 3 pisos para llegar a la habitación.
