It's a worth to experience living in.

This is a nice house. We can see through a window a farm with sheep and cow. However, it's a little bit hot inside the room at night time because we must keep the windows shut to prevent insects coming in when we sleep.

We stayed at New Forest Lodge for a weekend trip to Paultons Park. Overall I'd say our trip was okay. There were definite areas of improvement and I wouldn't suggest booking if you're looking for luxury. That being said, the room was mostly comfortable and we had everything we needed. When you arrive, if you're situated in a room upstairs, I could see the carpet was very worn. It wasn't the best impression. The decor is quite dated and the TV is pretty small. The king bed was comfortable. The singles however were put up beds and were uneven and not terribly comfortable. There was carpet worn away at the bathroom threshold to the point the grippers were exposed which presents a hazard, expecially for young children. The radiator in the bathroom was also damaged and didnt look overly reassuring of its safety. The check in was using a keysafe as the reception wasnt manned. I did see some staff briefly both mornings of our stay. Its a shame they dont have more of a presence. The lodge met our needs for the purpose we booked it for, I just feel it would be much improved with some investment into refurbishment.

The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful and always happy to have a chat when we were coming and going. Plenty of parking, room is a bit outdated if I was being ultra-critical but for the value of our stay it was a great value for money. The room was clean and had everything you needed. I would definitely stay here again

Room had a great view. Ideal location to nip in to the new forest but also wasy to get too. Nice indian restaurant next door, but even better pub round the corner in nomansland called the lamb. Hostess was great and full of helpful ideas on where to go.

The room was fine, just basic requirements met I think the bed line was clean enough although one of the beds I didn’t use had a bit of a stain on the cover and the mirror was in a poor condition in the bathroom but everything was perfectly acceptable for stop off a journey. I didn’t meet any staff, but they did give me a call to ensure I knew the key codes.

Self check-in went smoothly. The non-smoking room unfortunately stank of smoke, and the bath plug was full of someone's long hair. The bed was really comfortable, and the towels & linen were great. The Indian restaurant next door does really good food. Sadly the family next door woke at full volume at 07:30 Sunday morning. A good stop-off option when travelling, but not a refined or relaxing stay.

If you’re looking for a lovely spot in the heart of the New Forest, this is definitely one to try. Although it’s located on the A36, once you’re inside the property the road noise disappears completely. We stayed in the Nomansland Suite, which was perfect for our four-day stay. It included a comfortable double bed, bathroom, fridge, and kettle, and the room was cleaned daily. The host who greeted us was very friendly and suggested lots of great things to do nearby, which was really helpful. There’s plenty to do in the area, whether it’s a walk to the local pub or a short trip to the beach. The views are beautiful and really add to the experience. Highly recommend this place for a short getaway.
