The place is right in the center of Leiden, which is awesome. My room was on the opposite side of a busy street, so I couldn’t really hear any noise from outside. There’s no elevator though, so if you’re unlucky, you’ll be hauling your bags up two flights of stairs. The room numbers are kind of all over the place, so it took a bit to figure out where mine was. The room and the building are definitely on the older side—could be a plus if you’re into that kind of vibe.
One thing that bugged me was how strict they were about check-in. I thought the check-in time was already kind of late, but I wasn’t even allowed to pay or do anything when I got there early. Everything had to be done strictly during their set check-in hours, which felt weird since most places I’ve stayed at are way more chill about that.
