Abbiamo avuto problemi con l’auto e siamo arrivati in hotel molto tardi. La cucina era chiusa ma ci hanno fatto accomodare e ci hanno offerto toast e birra dato che non avevamo cenato ed eravamo stanchi. Questa mattina ci hanno aiutato con l’auto. Camera spaziosa e bellissima vista sul fiume. Colazione abbondante e personale molto gentile. Non posso che dire: ottimo! Ci tornerei

Disappointing interior….

Very disappointing and not somewhere I’d return. The staff were pleasant, helpful and polite but there is so much wrong with this place given the premium you pay. It’s in dire need of a total internal renovation. The room we had felt grubby and was covered in cobwebs and spiders. The grounds are beautiful and a walk by the river is very relaxing but that’s simply not enough.

Tranquil Setting

The hotel is in a beautiful tranquil setting, with well tended gardens to wander through. Staff were friendly and efficient. We were delighted to see the return of the buffet breakfast, which was well presented and delicious. Some aspects of the hotel are in need of a little refreshment, but overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and we will certainly return.

Beautiful country getaway!

Lovely property, excellent service, and marvelous food. The bartender said he didn’t really know cocktails which was a bit surprising and a tad disappointing. Would have loved to go stalking but discovered we had to reserve that in advance. Will know next time.

What a charming property! The beds were awful but everything else was great! We had our own patio. The shower was amazing and the staff is so friendly and helpful! It is a little musty as all old buildings are but the charm made the allergies worth it.

May wife and stayed for one night with our two dogs and had a fabulous break at Ballathie House. From the welcome on arrival, the room, dinner was outstanding and the location superb. A quality hotel offer a true Scottish experience. We are planning to return and this time I will have my fly rod with me. Thanks to the team at Ballathie.

Très jolie place j'aurais voulu rester plus longtemps le domaines est grand avec des sentiers pour marché dans un décor idylliques avec la rivière! Une excellente cuisine et un déjeuner traditionnels écossais exquis! Un jolie bar avec une belle sélection de bons alcools (merci encore a Martin pour ses recommandations qui était délicieux) personnel très sympathique et bienveillant je recommande a tous le monde!!

A wonderful experience in a beautiful location

The Hotel is an old manor house with a number of out building locations on the bank of the river Tay. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, the food excellent. Some of the rooms were a little tired but now under new ownership there is an extensive refurbishment programme underway. The location with it's riverside walks is stunning. It is also greatly enhanced by the gardens surrounding the main house. My wife (an enthusiastic gardener) had some wonderful discussions with the gardener, Gordon who has been responsible for the design and planting of the beds over the last 9 years. HE is a great asset to the hotel, very skillful and extremely helpful when discussing plants. I don't think we can praise the hotel sufficiently. it offers excellent value for money and is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Perthshire countryside.

Very Comfortable

The room was very comfortable with a fine view of the gardens and the mighty River Tay. The staff were friendly and efficient. We have stayed here many times over the years and continue to return, which is a good sign. However I was quite surprised that there is no longer a breakfast buffet, which used to be one of the highlights of our stay.
