Disappointing interior….

Very disappointing and not somewhere I’d return. The staff were pleasant, helpful and polite but there is so much wrong with this place given the premium you pay. It’s in dire need of a total internal renovation. The room we had felt grubby and was covered in cobwebs and spiders. The grounds are beautiful and a walk by the river is very relaxing but that’s simply not enough.

This hotel is in a beautiful Victorian country house set in a gorgeous park-like setting along the River Tay. Staff were warm and welcoming. A soup and sandwich lunch shortly after we arrived was delicious, as was the dinner in the beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended.

A Lovely Stay.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful country house hotel. Staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable, large enough to have a seating area. A small irritation was the rather noisy kitchen extractor fan, directly below our window, which started very early each morning! Breakfast was excellent, well cooked, with plenty of choice. The area around the hotel is very well maintained, with beautiful gardens.

Good size room, lovely location and pleasant staff. Couldn't get a restaurant place for some reason but was happy for the alternative bar supper option however this was a little expensive in reality. The strong point of this hotel is the staff. Very helpful, especially the barman who seemed to appear everywhere!

What a place ,from the drive along the driveway, the hotel is amazing, i know its won awards for the food, but it was not our choice. Then again we came home and booked 2 overnights in August.

Staying in the sportsman's quarters was nice and quiet, very roomy, but not a part of the main building, if walking is a concern. There were no dining options - it's out in the country - other than at the Inn itself, which was a fairly expensive proposition. Tasty, but costly.

We loved this trip and will certainly return. The staff were so attentive and friendly - special mention to Jamal. The food was absolutely outstanding - perfection. Okay so it rained a lot on our night but we were still able to enjoy some of the extensive estate. It was peaceful and quiet despite being a very busy weekend. We loved it. Superb!!!
