We received a very friendly welcome when we booked in, quite late at night. The room was clean, though a bit hot despite the window being left ajar and the snow outside. Plumbing worked OK, though I couldn't take down the shower head, which was way above my head and appeared to be a bit stuck.

The hotel was lovely. Checked in and had a beer then went to work. On arriving back with some friends later that evening a guy who was at a wedding the following day asked if he could buy us a beer. He did and then went on to basically rip me apart for having a “fit” bird even though I’m a fat cvnt!!! Something I wasn’t very impressed with!!! I asked him to leave which he did. But then returned maybe 10 minutes later shouting not nice things to me across the whole hotel. He was eventually arrested by the police and I’m guessing spent the night in the cells!! So, I spent a night at a hotel and got majorly insulted. As did my partner as I had to explain to her that even though he’d bought us a beer he really was a shocking tool! She thought he was being nice. I actually won’t repeat what he kept calling me! This same person was feeling my friend up as she was buying drinks at the bar. Some money back from you guys for my, my partners and my friends wrong doing would be nice. Let me know your thoughts

Room was great, as were the staff. Hotel is well kept the only let down was the breakfast. Breakfast wasn't overly busy, but food was cold, greasy and bland. clearly budget catering meat. Work needs to be done to improve this as other chains can get it right! Rest of the stay was great.

Big poo in my room when I entered that hadn’t been cleaned up. I had a ‘rave’ going on in the room next to me which I reported 3 times by phone at 11pm to the front desk but they said ‘they tried to tell the people to be quiet but they can’t force them’ So I HAD TO MOVE ROOM after getting into bed. The staff should have told the room next door to leave if they didn’t stop partying late at night. I will never come back. Plus Barnsley is a dive.

An ideal hotel to explore around the Barnsley area. We used the local train at Dodworth.The town centre is well worth a visit - very clean, modernised, an excellent indoor market and a wide variety of shops. The hotel itself was first class in all respects.

The room was big and spacious, the bed was firm and i slept really well. I was trying to see what mattress was used so i could buy one. I was attending a wedding in the local area was was ideal. The view from my room was a pitch behind the hotel and i heard cheering l looked out of the window and saw alot of naked men running around the pitch with a crowd, im assuming some sort of charity thing, but it made me laugh. The only down sides was the hairdryer didnt work, after a few minutes it stopped and wouldnt come back on. I had to keep messing with the wire, and the shower was broke so it wouldnt stay up fully, which make it hard to wash my hair while stood in the shower.

Size of our family room was brilliant. However the air conditioning/heating pumps were underneath our window. The noise all night was awful. Especially around 6am when the noise increased!! It was a shame because staff and breakfast were brilliant. Rooms a bit shabby, especially the shower.

Average hotel, needs an upgrade, our greatest concern was with the lady from the front desk at the reception. From check in until we left, she had an attitude about everything. It’s a shame bc everyone else in the UK was amazing, but not her. No A/C in the majority if rooms, food was less than average. Definitely would not stay there again.
