Cozy Tiny house on Turtle pond

Tiny and cozy. Everything was like brand new! Had a little trouble understanding the instructions for the heater but got help from guest services. Need more instructions for the washer and dryer.

Not worth what they charged

The resort is very beautiful and well maintained however, it is very overpriced for what is there. I am in the middle of Stage III breast cancer and needed a break from chemo and to relax. I called ahead of time to explain that the chemo makes me sick and it would take my daughter and I some time to get to the resort. I asked if I could have a late check out due to this and she was very nice/ said “absolutely “ but failed to inform me there was an additional charge of $53 to do so. The resort was literally empty because it was a cold night and we had wanted to use the hot tub to help with my pain but they took all the towels inside because of “rain” There was no rain .. it was just windy. My daughter was so disappointed. I really don’t want any free hand outs due to my condition but the fact that we could not enjoy the one amenity that we really wanted and the extra late check out fee when the resort was empty was just not acceptable. They charge an extra $75 just to clean the place and we cleaned before we left the resort. I wont be back due to the lack of compassion and overpriced for half a night.
Pool and hot tub we could not use due to no towels.

Skye resort was a perfect family resort for our Fredericksburg weekend trip. The staff had exceptional customer service and were very accommodating. The property was immaculate and the property design and amenities were well thought out. The cabins were so cute inside and met all our needs. Would definitely visit again. A nice gem in the great state of Texas.

Quiet location with beautiful views

Great visit, other than the fact that the electric charge stations for vehicle didn't work well and when they did, they were super slow. Location was quiet and perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway with the girls.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. Perfect stay while in the area. Definitely contact the resort and reserve a golf cart to use around property and trails. The on site general store has basic groceries/essentials. The staff are really friendly. Can’t wait to return!

Pros: Top notch modern facility; remote yet connected; good location between two small towns. Cons: could use better maintenance, it was apparent that despite the newness of the facilities and the good design (easy to keep clean), spider webs are abound and dust is lurking in all the corners. Please invest is a good maintenance crew and programme, a little bit goes a long way. I'd hate to see the place rundown the next time I come by (and I do plan to come back).

We loved our stay at the Skye Hill Country Resort. The cabin was spotless and felt brand new, the wildlife was amazing, and the facilities were nice. While it was a drive into Fredericksburg, it was worth it to be out in nature. The live music last night was a nice surprise. We enjoyed our time and will recommend the resort to others!
