6/10 Good

This is a very convenient budget hotel on the way to the trail to hike up Machu Pichu. It’s a bit on the “outskirts” of town, not a bad thing or in anyway safe, it’s actually ideal for those that need a place to crash before waking up early for the hike! I rate it as a 4/5 - as it’s a budget hotel that provides what you need for the price to pay. In all fairness, I checked in at 10pm and out at 430. I did see someone had a premade breakfast bag/hiking snack bag left for them on the counter, but I did not ask for the same, nor did I have breakfast.

Clean and well located

We just needed a night’s stay in Aguas Calientes and this place was ideal, well located for the station, restaurants and the bus for Machu Picchu. The staff were accommodating and our room was clean and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is adequate for what we needed and for the price.

We enjoyed our stay, walkable to both train and bus stations. Plenty of restaurants around. Quiet at night, river sounds 10/10. Fresh breakfast. They allow you to leave your bags while you visit Matchu pitchu!Very clean! Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

6/10 Good

The place was fine and the breakfast was decent. The major downside is the missing pane of glass above the door so I could hear everything which made sleeping difficult.

We spent 2 nights in March 2025. We loved the place. We had 2 twin bed room. It was impecable, well maintained. We loved being by the river. Breakfast is a buffet, well organised. Staff is friendly.

8/10 Very good

Only here for one night - the location was convenient and the room was clean and adequate. I loved the view. Great value for what we paid. Only issue was that when we showed up it took about 30 minutes to find the front desk person to check in (no one was there). Which was mildly stressful because we had about an hour until we had to jump on a bus up to Manchu Picchu.

8/10 Very good

Rooms were very clean and showers were hot. Staff were kind. We were able to take a to-go breakfast at 5am for our 6am entry to MP. It’s hard to have a bad location in Aguas Calientes, everything is a 10 minute walk, same can be said for this hotel. 10mins from the train, 5 from the bus ticket station/where to board the bus to Machu Picchu. Great affordable option for a night before your MP adventures.

The property was nice and clean. 3 men and we each had our own bed in one room. very convenient to the bus to Machu Picchu. We were a bit winded going up the stairs to the 5th floor, partly due to the elevation and our ages lol

8/10 Very good

It was good. Well worth the price point. The showers are a bit cold but I've come to expect this in Peru. Just more of a heads up really. Good location. Kind of on the end of the busy which is nice. I love that all you can hear is the river at night. No barking dogs is a win for sure. I cannot say that for anywhere I've been in this country so far. Also...I still love it here. They just need to fix the dog situation like many places.

4/10 Fair

The sink kept clogging since the first time I tried to use it. The bed linens were clean but the mattress or pillow had a strong musty smell. There was yelling and slamming doors during the night, which the owners did nothing about. Breakfast was good, but the employee serving it acted kind of weird after I tried talking to her the second time (she answered politely the first time). I mean my Spanish is far from stellar but I'm sure what I was trying to ask wouldn't have inconvenienced her that much. It's $40 a night and below acceptable anywhere. You just can't chalk up shoddy service to being in the budget category. If you're there for Machu Picchu, the shuttle and the ticket sales office is within a minute walk from the hotel.

Clean and comfortable rooms. The only things that are not so ideal is that you have to walk up to the 6th floor, and the breakfast is not much.
