* I have to put the 7 digits code three times to get to my room and again when leaving. The touch pad is sensitive, have to enter the code more than once. FRUSTRATING. * Murphy bed uncomfortable l, pillow keeps falling from hole in the back to the floor. *to kinds of smells one in the lobby a different one in rooms. This constant smell of deodorant is nauseating and unhealthy. * I am a platinum member of hotels.com I asked to check out at 1, I was told I have to pay 50 dollars. I had to do my business meetings from the lobby.

All good except the code entry is annoying

The room was nice, clean, good location, and the were nice outdoor spaces. But the access via code entry was really annoying. There’s a 6 digit code that you have to enter every time you have to get through any door even the elevator back down to the lobby. It was excessive and super finicky. I even got stuck in the elevator at one point because when my code wasn’t working the door closed and it wouldn’t let me go back up or open the door to get out at lobby level, I didn’t have my phone and it at least let me get to the basement, luckily a cleaning staff member was able to let me back up.

Nice but a few changes are needed

Let me start by saying that the hotel was located in a perfect spot as far as getting to all the fun areas such as sixth Street and Congress Avenue. That in itself is worth the money. It appears that they are transitioning from residential apartments to full-time hotel. They haven’t really gotten the hotel part down 100%. There was no Maid Service and they didn’t give enough supplies such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and paper towels. We loved the fact that we had our own kitchen and could make breakfast every morning without having a rush out the door, but they only gave us four plates, glasses and silverware. The code situation to get in and out of your room and to get into any of the amenities was annoying. They should definitely consider changing that to a swiping card. The terrace that is accessible was fantastic and all the look of the bike trail, which was really cool to see people going by especially at night and the skyline was gorgeous.

Great place and great location.

I had a great stay at Placemakr in downtown Austin. The apartment building is conveniently located next to I-35 so easy in and out to the city, but was also walkable to restaurants and bars. The property is clean and has some really cool shared spaces. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Horrible experience and communication

Overall HORRIBLE experience. This was a very confusing process and the employees had no idea what was going on. Every person I talked to had a different answer and none were helpful. I also had to fight 4 employees to get a receipt, and that receipt didn’t even match the charge on my card. I would never stay here again. Don’t waste your money or time here.

Great location, spacious, well-equipped

The title says it all. The property is located at the heart of Austin. We walked everywhere in the city. The staff was friendly and the apartment is well-equipped and spacious. We had noisy lodgers upstairs for the first 2 nights which is not the hotel's fault; however, it is worth noting that sound travels between floors. The big question is 'Would I stay here again?' The answer is Yes.
