It was perfectly located for my business trip (at Potsdam University) and the main building seemed fabulous. I was super excited to stay there with all its big glass windows and beautiful river location…unfortunately despite the fact I got a suite, they put me in the boring building with no view across the street (see photos for the two buildings)

Angenehme Übernachtung in Potsdam

Am 1. Tag hatten wir ein Zimmer (Nr. 503) im unterem Geschoss in Nebengebäude, leider sehr dunkel und direkt zur S-Bahn Station. Es war die Nacht doch sehr laut. Die 3 anderen Nächte haben wir das Zimmer getauscht (Nr. 710) im 2 Geschoss zur Strasse hin, sehr groß , leise und mit grosser Terrasse zur Strasse hin. Das Zimmer war ok. Leider wird nur alle 3 Tage das Zimmer sauber gemacht, so dass doch viel Dreck nach dem schwimmen in den Seen und durch unseren Hund zusammen kömmt. Frühstück ist in Ordnung,

Gibt besseres Preis Leistung Verhältnis

War OK, mehr aber auch nicht. Zimmer schon etwas abgewohnt und das Frühstück nur mittelmäßig. Ich musste mehrmals zur Rezeption, weil die Zimmerkarte entweder am Zimmer oder an den Parkschranken nicht funktionierte. Lage direkt am S Bahnhof und unweit der Studios Babelsberg sowie am Wasser ist schön.

Dabei hätte es schön sein können. Aber: Schimmelansätze in der Dusche, Staubflocken im Zimmer. Eine abendliche Party mit lauter Musik auf der Terrasse, die bis 22.10 Uhr andauerte und die nicht angekündigt war. Schade, bei einem schönen Hotel in perfekter Lage und mit eigentlich bemühtem Personal. Dazu überhöhte Preise fürs Parken und für gekühlte Getränke fürs Zimmer. Nochmals: Schade!

Es hätte perfekt sein können...

Das Hotel ist an sich sehr schön gelegen und das Frühstück ist supertoll und sehr liebevoll. Leider hatte ich mir aufgrund der Fotos vom Zimmer etwas anderes erwartet. Schade war, dass das Bett zwei zusammen gestellte Einzelbetten, waren und kein KingBett, obwohl ich genau deswegen eine höhere Zimmerkategorie gebucht hatte. Die Betten mussten dann von uns auch mehrfach wieder zusammen geschoben werden, weil sie sich voneinander weg bewegten. Echt schade...

Zur Jahrtausendwende waren die Zimmer sicher recht modern... Seither scheint nur der Röhrenfernseher ersetzt worden zu sein. Hotel liegt mit einem Gebäudeteil direkt an der 24h befahrenen Bahnstrecke. Dort schläft man im Sommer ohne Klima und bei offenem Fenster entsprechend laut... Beim Check-Out wird auch gar nicht gefragt, ob der Aufenthalt schön war. Einzig die Frage, ob der gebührenpflichtige Parkplatz genutzt wurde, war von Interesse...

Die Lage ist schön, der Blick auf den See und die Möglichkeit zum Wassersport, die Nähe zur S -Bahn perfekt. Das Gebäude und Nebengebäude von außen nicht besonders ansprechend, von Innen aber ganz gut, Zimmer ansprechend, Blick auf See zwar toll , aber rechtfertig Aufpreis 20 eur pro Nacht nicht. Auch die Außenanlagen rund um das Hotel sollte gepflegt sein, es lagen 2 Tage lang viele Flyer ( vom Wind wahrscheinlich dorthin getrieben ) auf dem Weg vorm See, einfach kein schöner Anblick, einmal rumgehen ums Haus, aufsammeln, fertig. Frühstück war ansprechend und ausreichend. Also gute Unterkunft, aber zu teuer

Bei Hotel.com wird mit einem King Bett geworben. Diese gibt es nicht im Hotel! Keine Kingbetten vorhanden. Das Zimmer war ein einfaches 65€ Ibis Standard Zimmer wofür mir über 200€ berechnet wurden. Keine Spur von 4 Sternen! Die Antwort vom Personal am Empfang, ja ist halt so.

Leider wurde nach der Bestätigung der 4 Zimmer, 2 Monate später die Reservierung widerrufen, weil Babelsberg Zimmer gebucht hat. Für mich eine Unverschämtheit, Zusage ist Zusage . Dieses Geschäftsgebaren ist für mich unverständlich. Auch wenn letztendlich Zimmerersatz besorgt wurde, war es extrem ärgerlich.
