The pictures did not match the actual condo. It was dirty and disheveled. The bookshelf was broken and all of the paintings on the wall were crooked. That wasn’t a huge deal but an indicator that is it not well kept.
The carpet was filthy. I found food on the dining room floor and a bloody tissue on the bathroom floor. I can get past most things but a bloody tissue is simply unsanitary.
The walls were paper thin. I was kept up literally all night. First, by the upstairs neighbors until 2am, then the wind was so loud outside that it shook the condo. I got zero sleep the second night, which is not normal for me at all. I know there’s nothing to be done about the wind especially when you’re on top of a mountain. But I never would have booked knowing how thin the walls were.
I reached out to the host about the noise who said they would “make it right” by talking to the upstairs neighbors. When I informed them of the bloody tissue and uncleanliness of the condo they did not respond.
The only good part of this stay was the view of the mountains. I absolutely would not book again, especially considering how they responded to my concerns.
This was our 10 year anniversary so we were extremely disappointed it didn’t work out how we wanted. We cannot get that time back.
