Our room was thankful renovated so we slept comfortably and it was quiet. In the morning there was a very strong chemical or gas like smell in the breakfast area so it was hard to even eat. First off the staff was very friendly and inviting. They have great amenities like a pool and breakfast and they are currently remodeling so i cant fault them for making the hotel look better...but..it took forever to get hot water to our shower, like actually 20 minutes and after 9:30 it sounded like someone was running a marathon above us (we were on the 2nd floor) this person was moving furniture and dropping things and we heard every single step. So sure is was a great room and it had all the bells and whistles of a modern hotel..but for the price i would rather it be run down and quiet than updated and noisy. But thats just me.

20 rooms are very loud, coffee was cold at breakfast, shower was not warm and we get bathroom floor extremely wet, parking lot road noise extremely loud and hard to sleep and night

We arrived late and the hotel was booked up. Our third floor room smelled like urine in one area. I assumed from a pet as the hotel allows pets. The couch/sofa had short white hairs all over it. We placed a sheet over the couch. There was mold in the bathroom growing. Couldn’t switch rooms due to full capacity. This was a suite.

Very nice room. The hotel is being renovated so some of it is a bit messy, but that’s to be expected during construction. But the room was perfect!

Breakfast not great. Omelets were luke warm, coffee tasted bad, and the creamer bottles were either empty or pumps didn’t work. The room itself was awesome!

The room was wonderful, the check-in experience was not. I was told when I checked in that Expedia had marked me as cash and Holiday Inn doesn't accept cash. I was told that I had to call Expedia and have Expedia call the hotel to straighten this out. It took me an hour to accomplish this trying to manage the phone trees and the dead ends. I would think that the premier travel aggregator in the world and one of the most iconic hotel names in the world would be able to understand what each entity requires so that the process is seamless for the customer. Furthermore, I would think the two enterprises would have direct communication lines such that if a problem should arise one entity could speak to the other without the customer having to act as a go between. In my case, what was a problem between Expedia and Holiday Inn became my problem in that I had to spend an hour of my time, after a long day of travel, to figure out how to get in touch with Expedia. The whole incident was frustrating for me and for the staff at Holiday Inn Express.

This was the worse hotel that we had to stay at during our whole trip. First we had trouble with card keys working. No carts to bring up luggage. The sink in the bathroom was broken and they told me we could use the pool bathroom sink to brush our teeth etc. went Girl call her manager to report the problem and to see what could be done to help us out. She never did get back to us. I had to go down and ask her and was told that nothing could be done that they had put an out of order on this room so no one else would have this problem. Then to top it all off went to get a coffee and the coffee pot was empty!!! Not a good start to our morning. Was also told that because we booked through Hotels.com they would not compensate our inconvenience. So I will be contacting them regarding this matter. Ever try brushing your teeth in the shower. It’s interesting. Also we had one towel left between us as the other towels were used to mop up the water on the floor.

I know tvs are not so important but our first room tv didn’t work. They moved us and the second room got one station, Luckily it was fine for the night. I guess for the $ TVs should be in working order.
The staff was as helpful as they could be.
