I unfortunately got very sick and was throwing up all night during our stay, my husband was in a wedding the following evening and instead of shopping around town all day like I had planned, all I wanted to do was lay in bed and recover before the wedding. I was hoping to pay for a late check out and I was met with very little compassion when telling the front desk lady my situation. She told me I was unable to pay for late check out at 2 pm due to the hotel being full the following night. I understand, but there was not sympathy or willingness to help make something work especially when I had no where to go for 7 hours before the wedding.

Certain little things didn’t work. I stayed for 2 days and they were never fixed. The phone in my room didn’t work. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. When I asked housekeeping for it they said they were all out. The ice machine on my floor (3rd floor) didn’t work.

Can’t recommend.

For some reason a staff member entered our room about an after we checked in. Did not knock, did not announce themselves. Just unlocked and opened the door while we were in the middle of changing. This has never happened at any hotel that I’ve ever visited. Also, they were completely out of hand soap. Also a first. Probably won’t return.

I was just getting back from a horrible bachelorette trip and there was no way I was staying another moment. I just drove 9 hours from CO. Springs and I knew I wasn't going to make it 3 hours home. This 1 night hotel stay meant the world to me. I just needed to be alone, have a big meal, take a hot shower, and get a good nights sleep. I wish my stay was longer! This place is brand new, still smells like fresh paint! The style felt luxury! The couple staff members I talked to were so wonderful! Check in/out process was easy. The room was perfect! Bed was so comfy that I skipped trying the breakfast just to be in bed longer. The bathroom as Mr. Burns would say, Excellent! It was clean and pretty and spacious. I will always check this hotel 1st when I travel to KC. I cant wait to come back!

Nice and cozy

Hotel was beautiful very clean. The service was great. JJ at the front was amazing from the time we arrived until checkout. He was always there to answer any questions and made us feel right at home. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The Pony restaurant and bar served great food and drinks. They even had a musical area with a guitar which was fun to play around with. I stayed here while picking up my daughter from college. The area was not far from the school and close to downtown Kansas. So it was the perfect location for my 2 day staff. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Dirty sheets.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was just so, so. We had an issue night one. When we checked in there was something on our sheets. We ask for someone to come change them out and we were told that no one from housekeeping was available. A man who said he does the finances brought up sheets, said he didn’t know how to change the bedding and provided what we needed to make the bed up ourselves. He mentioned that hopefully the hotel could comp us breakfast or give us a discount, neither of which happened.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at the Origin, beds were comfortable, staff was very helpful. Only thing difficult was getting an Uber from there because there was a soccer game that night at the stadium next door but we figured it out. Staff was helpful with this!

Cozy stay

This is a beautiful new hotel in a quiet area! Overall we loved our stay. When we first got there the bathroom door (barn door style) was stuck closed. The front desk man came up quickly to fix it and informed us this is a known issue. Perhaps time to change door style so you don’t get stuck in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we slept great except for a fire alarm that went off for unknown reasons. Overall I would recommend but it seems like they have a few kinks to work out.
