I was a little apprehensive due to the reviews, however I had a great stay. Check in was easy, Robert on the desk was great and chatty. Room was easy to find and maybe I got lucky, room was perfect for my requirements. A large TV, fridge, modernised bathroom, black out curtains, appeared to be a recent carpet, and a comfy bed. Heating was easily adjusted at the radiator. Hotel was quiet.

Very clean room. Bigger than expected. Friendly, helpful staff. Only one complaint : the bed was much too small. We would rather have had a smaller room with a bigger bed which is what we expected for the price and by the description on the website.

1st thing we were told was “were you told there’s no restaurant or bar tonight”. Which was a shock. The hotel is so far out of town. It’s beyond the back of beyond. it cost us over £26 plus tip for taxi to town to get a meal. Room was sparse bed hard window didn’t close towel rail in bathroom broken. I could go on. If I’d realised it was a britainia hotel group I would never have booked as I feel they are well below par. There was a tray with couple of tea bags and coffee sachets. You’d have thought they’d have at least added a biscuit under the circumstances. Hotels.com are at fault too as we were not notified. Only on Friday to check in online

Cosy and warm, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room with what looked like a new shower room. The hotel itself is a bit older in style but perfectly fine for a pre-flight stop over or for playing golf locally. In fact it was only 5 mins from Royal Troon and about 15 mins from Dundonald links. Parking was easy and outside the front door - made carrying golf equipment easy! We were allowed to order in Just Eat which was convenient, but lots of restaurants in Troon.

Robert is very kind and helpful. All other staff is terrible. Rooms are very old and need proper maintenance. Mostly heaters and showers are broken.

I have stayed here many times and it is good value for money and i like it. My bathroom had been refurbished and was beautiful, staff were very friendly too. Didn't eat here. The main building is very nice. Give it a try its better than you think.

Room cleanliness is very poor. Fan in bathroom has definitely never been cleaned. Bathroom in general was Windows and frames in the room were filthy.

The room was comfortable and pet friendly. Be prepared for long corridor walks as the frontage is deceptive! There is only one lift which is nowhere near reception. If you are disabled, as I am, I would request a room on the ground floor as close to reception as possible. Parking is a bit of an issue, again especially if you are disabled.

on arrival i was informed that the bar and restaurant werent opening because there was not enough guests. I had to get a taxi to Prestwick and back to get something to eat which cost just over £25.

Friendly welcome on check in, directions to room and timings for breakfast advised. Room was fairly decent, nice bathroom, plenty of sockets, tv, hairdryer, iron and board. The bed wasn’t that comfortable and very squeaky. Breakfast - we only paid £5 extra for 2 breakfasts so didn’t expect much. The Garden room was a large room with plenty of tables available. There was a selection of hot and cold foods available but hot items weren’t that hot at 8.30am. Breakfast timings of 7-9am on a Sunday were also very early.
