Fantastic accommodation - we stayed in one of the villas with a pool, which was very reasonably priced for what you get. Everything was perfect - lovely outdoor space with a wee pool to cool off, comfy bed with a great view of the Arenal volcano and a huge bathroom that felt outdoors due to the floor to ceiling windows. Staff were very lovely and full of recommendations for the local area. Breakfast at a nearby hotel was simple but tasty and ideal to get you started for the day. All in all the perfect getaway to discover all of the amazing things to do in and around Fortuna. Thank for a great stay!

An absolutely beautiful property - views are stunning, rooms are wonderful. It’s a calm and tranquil vibe. Ideal for couples. Location is close to everything yet still secluded from the craziness of touristy downtown Fortuna. Can’t recommend enough!

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was very nice and comfortable with a beautiful view of the volcano when the clouds weren’t low. It was close to many things we did in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Place is just as shown in pictures. Retreat is gated. The breakfast that is available down the road has 3 options with fresh delicious fruit. Also provides a grab and go sandwich if you are leaving before they open you just need to pick it up the night before. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay at Fortuna Retreat. Our room had a stunning view of the volcano. Property and room were very clean and well kept. Our breakfast was included at a nearby small restaurant in a lovely setting, just a short walk down the road. The property is a short drive from the main town and we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Hotel was clean and grounds maintained but it’s small. Limited parking and an extremely small “common area” that was more of a break room for the employees with limited amenities. Didn’t use the community pool since we had our own plunge pool in our villa. Water in the shower didn’t get too hot, but was spacious. Amazing view of the volcano was the best part of the place. Avoid the restaurant they send you to for breakfast, you can find way better and way cheaper options by driving down to another Soda. We loved La Hormiga. Overall a good affordable find as long as you aren’t looking for a hotel with many amenities.

Very nice property - new, amazing views. It is off- the main road, so there is a bit of a dirt road to get to it. Breakfast is available at another hotel - can walk there. Overall, nice service and facility. Everything stayed damp and didnt dry during our stay - it's just part of the dampiness in the air, even in the dry season.

This was the nicest place that I stayed during a 10 day trip to Costa Rica (out of 5 different places)! Check-in information is all provided via email, the room (I had a second floor suite) had an amazing balcony with a view of the Arenal Volcano and the bathroom was massive. Bonus points - it had hot water and Air Conditioning!

Very spacious room that was well appointed. The staff was very friendly. Breakfasts were a quick walk away and so tasty and you are treated to a wonderful bird show- they have feeders out and they attract many beautiful birds. We enjoyed walking the little trail there at breakfast also. We also loved the dinner from the Soda at the end of the street- great, cheap meal!! Room and property were very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend.
