Wifi: really bad (basically nonexistent), gym: very basic, pool: tiny, breakfast: substandard, rooms: noisy. Plus the personnel thinks everyone is a sex tourist and treat you like that. Overall terrible value for the money.

Diligent cleaning staff.
Most of the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good and there was a good selection of fruit, breads, eggs and breakfast meats. The cleaning staff was friendly and diligent. As the song goes, they absolutely "...work hard for the money, so you better treat her (them) right." However, the rooms that ended as "09", regardless of the floor, have windows that face the hotel's outside air corridor, thus little natural light gets into the rooms and when you open the windows, you get the constant drones of the air conditioner fans of the other rooms and building. Also, be aware of the early check-in fee if you arrive before 2pm and if you decide to leave your bags with the hotel while you go to get breakfast, lunch or explore the area, that too will be done for a fee. Outrageous!!!

Great place to stay
Stayed for 5 nights at the end of December 2019 including New Years' Eve. The hotel is well situated for Copacabana beach, Sugar Loaf Mounta8n and Cristo Redentor. Itwas clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were all pleasant and happy to answer questions. On New Years' Eve we were given a complimentary bottle of champagne to toast the New Year.

Easy to find and only five minutes walk from Copacabana beach. Nice clean room although a little dated. Staff were really nice and friendly and willing to help in any way.

Good clean decent hotel, problem is it’s across from the public square and there are smelly dirty homeless everywhere. Begging for money, most look healthy just too lazy to work.
