A very nice hotel. Excellent breakfast. The location is perfect for accessing the beach, less than 10 minutes from the walled old town and the airport. Upon check-in, I received excellent service from René. He was very helpful in ensuring my room was ready quickly, even though I arrived a little early. He was also there when I checked out. He was very kind and helpful with the airport transfer. The rest of the staff were also excellent. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was in a terrible condition. It did not feel clean. The Air condition was dripping water. After the repairman came by and opened a hatch in the ceiling to fix the conditioning, he left the room with lots of dead insects. The room was dusty, spotted and unforgettable. The bed felt very clean. But the rest, especially the toilet was not good.

Yall I stayed here with my 15yr old son for spring break 2025 about a week ago. It was decent and had what we needed. Ocean view, air conditioning, refrigerator and bathroom. There was no microwave but that’s okay because there’s a grocery store walking distance a block away so we got snacks and ate out everyday. The beach is literally right across the street so that was a big plus for us. The room was clean, we had two twin beds, there’s breakfast in the mornings (you will have to pay). There’s also options to get dinner there but we weren’t in the room that much and definitely wanted to try out all the restaurants around town. There’s 24/7 security which was extremely nice and a private cap driver that will take you around if you need him. We used Uber but just to know if we needed other options we had them right there. I would definitely stay there again. It’s super close to the walled city (clock tower), Getsemaní and Bocagrande. The most I spent on an Uber the whole week we were there was probably $7 so I can’t complain about anything. Thank you IBIS for making sure my son and I felt comfortable after exploring the streets of Cartagena.

This is my first time in Cartagena. The location of this hotel is super awesome for four reasons: many beaches in front of the hotel, 5 minutes walking from famous Letras de Cartagena, 25-30 minutes walking from Walls of Cartagena “old historical city” and very close to airport (5-10 minutes away by car). The hotel has a yummy buffet breakfast on the second floor. I loved to eat on the balcony and I welcomed couple of birds joining me as guests. The breakfast has many options … I loved the soup. The room was modern but small. It had air condition, safe, TV, and free wifi. My room was supposed to have a view on the ocean but it is difficult to enjoy the view as windows are locked… you cannot open them. The hallway of the floor was very dirty during all four days of my stay. I loved hotel’s luggage storage before check in and after check out. The hotel has an outdoor shower as well. My main challenge is the service desk… they all spend more time looking into their screens rather than smile, eye contact, and offer help. I asked one of them about shopping and she told me that I need to go downtown even for food. I found an ara store just outside the hotel for water and juice. I also used the adjacent restaurant for yummy food and spectacular view. I took a taxi for 7 minutes ride to the Mallplaza Cartagena. The night is very active around this hotel especially near the Letras de Cartagena as you see many party buses stopping for photos.
