We were very disappointed with the Hampton inn in lordsburg. To begin with we were called and notified that the elevator was out of service. Had the call been earlier we probably would have changed hotels but it was a little late to find a place at that point. So we agreed to climb to the third floor. When I entered the room I went to adjust the thermostat on the air conditioning system and the cover for the controls fell off in my hand. It was broken. Then I went into the bathroom and found there was no toilet paper holder. It had been pulled from the wall and removed from the room. When I advised the desk clerk that the holder was missing she said she would note it for maintenance. I think maintenance already knew or would have still been in the room. The bed must have been in that room for 15 years to have depressions as deep as it does. Likewise the pillows are little balls of something that are not very comfortable. There are no longer any amenities in the room such as makeup mirrors. We ask for at the front desk for a mirror but there were not available. It's as if the rooms have been stripped of all the things that used to be there for the convenience of the traveler. Primarily because of the elevator when we checked in we asked it was possible to get a discount on the room. We were advised that it would be difficult since we had paid in advance but that she would check with the manager. When I called about the toilet paper holder being missing I again again reques

The elevator was not working and had not been working for 7+ months I was told. Our original room was on the 3rd floor! I had knee replacement in late November and could not climb stairs yet. There was nothing available on the first floor, so we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor. It was really a struggle for me to get up even on flight of stairs to the 2nd floor. So the stay was quite uncomfortable, terrible actually because of the elevator situation.

As I checked in, I was told the elevator was broken and only rooms in the 3rd floor are available. Then the pet fee was not as shown on Expedia. When I showed the desk agent, he was less than understanding. Then staff hung up on Expedia agent. Not ideal customer service to start a stay. Will not return.
