Nice rooms

The rooms are really nice, and overall comfort was good! The pillows were huge and did not provide the best sleeping experience for my preference. There was loud from other rooms and the power was out some of the day. No possibility for extra service such as late check out and the area is not very inviting.

Encontramos una cucaracha en el cuarto. El calentador de la regadera es pequeño, hay que encontrar la manera de hacerlo funcionar para que salga agua caliente. La habitacion estaba en planta baja y se escuchaba fuerte cada paso que daban en el cuarto de arriba. El desayuno es cafe y fruta, si eres de los primeros alcanzas, sino tendrás que comer fuera. Olvidamos algo y el cuidador/administrador de la propiedad no nos ayudó, por lo contrario tuvo una mala actitud con nosotros. La zona es tranquila y con un supermercado en la esquina, muy conveniente. No hay rampa en la entrada, si llevas maletas grandes o pesadas, considera que tendrás que cargarlas en las escaleras.

It was such an attractive, creatively put together and decorated place. The bed was especially comfy, and the ceiling fan was strong and made good white noise (needed in this busy city). I had the idea that it was closer to the airport than it was, but it was worth the bit of extra time it took to get there. Good value!

Tout parfait, à part qu’il y a eu des travaux, le 1er jour de 10h00 à 20h00, impossible ni de faire une sieste ni regarder un film et ni téléphoner, 2eme jour de 7h45 du matin à 12h00, 3eme jour dès 8h00 du matin… des gens qui parlent fort dans les couloirs des 6h30 du matin sans se soucier des clients. Étant directeur dans l’hôtel restauration, c’est difficilement acceptable, personne n’a aviser de cela. La moindre chose est de prévenir les clients. Sinon merci à Luis pour sa réactivité et disponibilité.

We had an excellent 7-day stay! Luis and Jorge were amazing and made us feel like part of the family. Then we met Colin, who was the icing on the cake—full of information and history, and always ready with directions and help for everything we needed. Oh, and the continental breakfast provided each morning was incredible! The fresh papaya and pineapple are absolutely to die for. The only minor downside was the church bells, but after a day, you get used to them. The price, the stay, and the experience are all worth it. Trust me, you won’t lack a thing during your time at Jungla Urbana in Costa Rica! There is a restaurant and bar, olus super market atvthe corner. A gew blocks down is the American Ambassy. You have to try it to belive it.

not worth it

This was supposed to have 2 beds, but one was a pull out couch with no pillow or sheets. We had to request that. The room had glass blocks in the floor which was over the kitchen so at night when someone went into the kitchen it automatically put light in our room. It was supposed to have a breakfast but it was nothing more than a loaf of bread in a kitchen you could toast yourself and coffee. This was not a breakfast. The bathroom has a large step down and I almost fell when i got up during the night and forgot about it. Definitely not for elderly people. The worst part was finding black hair in the bed sheets.
