I absolutely loved my stay at Zel. I was skeptical in the beginning since it’s a new resort but the staff was very helpful! Food was great! I had a swim up room and the view was EVERYTHING! I highly would recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. They provided a lot of activities throughout the day. They also have a spa. You can literally walk to the beach but they provide shuttles to and from as well. Definitely was a beautiful experience!!

Resort is not fully open yet. Grand opening is in March. Expect very few guests and no nightime activity. The resort is beautiful and Master Suite Room is amazing. we were on the top floor facing pool in building 3. Zel Beach Club is not a long walk (10 mins) and shuttles are available if needed. Beach club has food and drinks. Not everything is available on the menu so ask in advance. Yoga was awesome at gym area. Zel Staff are inexperienced. Restaurants are satisfactory. Booking each day is a hassle and they can't seem to get it right. Resort is too reliant on cell phone for communication. They use QR codes for menus and activity schedules. They want to communicate with you on WhatsApp. We elected to keep our phones in safe in room and not communicate via WhatsApp at resort. Only one attempt to encourage Melia resort experience and we declined. Overall, it's a great location but bring stuff to do at night after dinner.

I booked a family vacation to celebrate New Year's Eve and was extremely disappointed with the resort's failure to meet the advertised expectations. The hotel did not disclose that they do not cater to small children. There are no pools suitable for young kids; the existing pools are too deep, and there are no lifeguards on site. Additionally, there is no designated kids' area, and the buffet is very small. To reach the beach, transportation is required, as it is not within walking distance. I had a terrible experience with my 3-year-old son, who began to struggle in the deep water. I had to jump in to pull him out. After facing numerous obstacles, which I have yet to elaborate on, we checked out the very next day. We informed the front desk, and despite this, the hotel refuses to refund us for our stay, even after stating that they primarily cater to teenagers and adults.

They had just opened 14 days prior to our arrival so, there was some minor issues. However, they offered an un paralleled service. We had 2 and 3 waiters at a time. The Beach Club is beautiful. Amazing large beach with beverage service and lunch area. The place is very quiet and zen. We came back very refreshed

Was not impressed with this resort at all. They were supposedly closed for a remodel and name change but I never figured out what was remodeled cause the rooms definitely were not. Furniture needed updated, sofa bed had a very rusty frame that they struggled to get opened. Everything is done through there app and the app never worked for us. Couldn’t schedule room service so I called and they sent me a menu and ever time we ordered off the menu they had no clue what we were ordering and always for the wrong stuff. No one seemed to know much about anything. Was always told that they would get back to us and they never did. They no longer have a store where you can get any snacks or travel items you might need they switched the store to a concept store and only have clothes. According to my booking with Expedia we were suppose to have transportation from the airport and back but when I called before leaving I was told no that I would have to book my own transportation. So I booked my own transportation and we had no problem entering the property but had to argue with them to let our driver in to pick us up when we need to head to the airport. They offered to take us to the main gate by golf cart to get our ride and I told them absolutely not. They need to let the driver in. Was there during the week of Christmas and they had absolutely no activities going on during the day or in the evening. The food was mediocre, buffet food was the best but was always luke warm.
