The room was not what was pictured, terribly outdated. Tv quality was terrible, the shower doors were broken and way too small for anyone that wasn’t a tiny person. Mouse droppings under the sink. Room service walked in on us even though our checkout wasn’t for a few more days. There is no sound deadening between floors. All hours of the day, you can hear banging from the people above. The pool was the nicest part of the entire place. The building just needs updating. It seems no money has been reinvested.

Great location, but needs improvements

The hotel’s location is fantastic—convenient and close to everything. However, the room was disappointingly small with paper-thin walls. We could clearly hear conversations from the adjacent room, and our neighbors played loud music early in the morning (not ideal when you’re trying to sleep!). The carpet was old and dingy, making it unpleasant to walk barefoot—it just felt yucky. Due to the cramped space and poor ventilation, the room had a musty, musky smell that lingered. On the positive side, parking was easy and hassle-free, which was a big plus. Overall, this place could be decent with better maintenance, soundproofing, and deeper cleaning.

Harrison Hall Hotel – Ocean City, MD

We recently stayed at the Harrison Hall Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The hotel is definitely older compared to many of the others along the boardwalk, and that’s evident in some of the building’s features—like the smaller rooms and a very compact elevator that can get backed up during check-in or check-out times. That said, the charm of this historic property more than made up for those minor inconveniences. The pool area was a definite highlight, especially with the added bonus of a poolside bar that opens at 4 p.m.—a great spot to relax after a beach day. The front porch with its rocking chairs was a personal favorite. Sitting out there in the evenings, looking out at the ocean, was incredibly relaxing and really added to the classic beach-town vibe. The lobby and porch areas also provided great space for both kids and adults to hang out and unwind. While the rooms were smaller than expected, they were clean and functional—understandable given the age of the building. If you’re looking for a modern hotel with all the bells and whistles, this might not be your pick. But if you appreciate character, convenience, and a laid-back beach atmosphere, Harrison Hall is a solid choice. JB

Relaxing and comfortable

It was great the staff was friendly the bed was extremely comfortable and so were the pillows. The rooms arent that big and don't come with a microwave. The pool was crystal clear as well can't beat those rocking chairs either. Great stay I'll definitely go back

The hotel lobby was nice, but the actual hallways and rooms were not very nice at all. Dingy and poor lighting. Tony bathroom. Beds sunk. Terrible smells… musty. We ended up booking at the marriot after a few hours at the Harrison.

The hotel looks very beautiful on the outside but its a bit outdated. For the price that we paid, we thought we would get a better room. It seems like the furniture was older and the bathroom needed a new shower. I thought the service was good and the pool area was nice.

Great stay

Love the fact that this place is right on the beach. If you need a place to lay your head and take a shower this is the spot with an Italian Restaurant below the rooms also. That seemed very busy. I missed the chance to eat there since they closed at 9pm on a Saturday. As for the rooms they are small. The AC unit is built into the wall that is right at the end of the bed. So when it kicks on or off you hear it and the bed vibrates. The walls are thin and I could hear the entire convo next door to me of a guy with his daughters. Again not a bad place if you are looking for sleep, shower and walk right out to the beach. The patio of this place is huge and beautiful also.

We were catfished and thought the hotel would look nicer than it did. The people were cool some wonderful black queens and one nice Caucasian… other than that the place is not sound proof so you’ll here Tabitha and Lucy walking back into their room at 2am, and the sheets were very thin so be prepared to not be cozy. Bring extra blankets and thick ones
