We had a fantastic day at Elsa‘s Place. My 12-year-old son and I stayed here during a father and son fishing trip. The owners, staff, and accommodations were excellent. The chocolate chip cookies and breakfast sandwiches they may for us before our early morning Fishing departure were fantastic as well. We will be back!

The breakfast at Elsa’s Place was wonderfully fresh and tasty. We were provided with more than enough and it was wonderful! Eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, grits & shrimp, biscuits and gravy - just awesome! Thank you so much and we will be back!

Amazing friendly and courteous staff. We were recieved with goodybags with water and freshly baked cookies and recomendation of things to do on and off the property. The room was clean with a great view. The property was absolutely amazing and I'm bummed my stay wasn't longer to take advantage of all the things that could be done there. Definitely planning another trip there. Oh and the breakfast was so delicious!!! Never had grits before and was never interested but they served shrimp and grits and let me just say it was one of the most delicious breakfasts my family and I have ever had!!! My son is a picky eater and he absolutely loved the shrimp and grits. They have a beautiful dinning lobby but because the morning was so beautiful and the weather was perfect they accommodated us to eat outside on the balcony. One thing to mention, my room didn't have internet due to some cables breaking but they had tried getting it repaired before we got there but the guy hadn't shown and they were more than happy to upgrade our room to even a nicer one. I chose to stay in my original room anyway because I was just enamored with the view.

A tricky place to review. The grounds, setting, main building and staff are all of the highest calibre. The breakfast is imaginative ( shrimp and grits? Sensational ), generous and well prepared and presented . Aida, the hostess, is delightful..warm, welcoming, enthusiastic and genuine. I found the room disappointing. It was stark, functional, cold and unwelcoming. Like mony buildings here, there was no ground floor, so the room floor was open to the outside temperature. Unluckily for us, it was just a few degrees above freezing. A few rugs would have helped. The heating was loud, so that wasn’t an option during sleep, and the bedding provided didn’t keep us warm. The WiFi was virtually non existant, too. It seems a place that is of high quality outside of the rooms, and basic within them. It has great potential, staff with great attitude, but the rooms need more thought and investing in.

Fantastische locatie in de rivierdelta buiten New Orleans. Geweldig uitzicht en een mooie kamer met goede bedden. Heel gastvrij ontvangst met vers gebakken chocolade koeken en heerlijk ontbijt.

I LOVE staying at Elsa’s when I am fishing in the area. Have stayed there multiple times and the owners are awesome!! So accommodating and friendly. Fishermen if you’re looking for a place to stay when chasing reds stay here! Shrimp and grits and pumpkin muffins 5 ⭐️ Thank you again for another great stay!

Appreciated having breakfast prepared to go for us on our day long fishing trips. More than generous with breakfast sandwiches fresh fruit and juice. The room was comfortable and roomy and clean. Hosts were very gracious and accommodating. Would recommend them and would stay there again.

I was absolutely overjoyed with this choice. The property is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast every morning was delicious and I’m a very picky eater. I have never loved a place more. The owners and staff were super friendly and amazing! They made sure I had everything I needed also gave me information about the surrounding area. I normally never get more than 4 hours of sleep a night. During my 4 night stay I got 8 hours or more and it was the greatest. I woke up every day refreshed and ready to sightsee. I can’t wait to visit again!

Nestled in a quaint fishing town not too far south of downtown NOLA. This night was so enjoyable. I cannot say enough of the care shown us by Victoria and Antoine during our stay. And the breakfast exceeded our expectations! We have stayed in many true B&Bs through the years and this one stands out! Southern hospitality at it finest. One recommendation is to put a small sign directing which of the houses to check in from and/or instructions on the website of where to go. But that pales in the way of needs met. Thank you so much for reminding us that there are still many good people on our world :)
