Clean and comfortable hotel in great location

Easy access by car then the large free car park meant we could safely leave the car and were able to walk into the city in less than 20 minutes. Food was very good and the restaurant on site was reasonably priced. Our room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend the Victoria Hotel as a place to stay

The hotel is family run and this is reflected by the staff who were very friendly throughout our 4 night stay. In house carvery and restaurant was good for an excellent meal. Also excellent breakfasts. The hotel is in walking distance from the city centre but there are also regular buses. The property is kept very clean and our room had a huge comfortable bed. The hotel was ideal for our short stay. I would chose to stay there again if I visit the area.
