The staff were very proactive and enthusiastic, and the rooms were impeccably clean with no overlooked areas. The facilities were well-maintained, and the surrounding environment was quiet and beautiful, surrounded by forests. It only takes a 5-minute drive to Lightning Lake and a 15-minute drive to Cascade Lookout. This is the perfect place for daytime outdoor activities and stargazing at night.

Staff was OK, not the friendliest, but tolerable. No A/C, and NO Wi-Fi in the rooms, unless you wanted to pay an extra $3/day. We had two rooms, one at least had a portable fan in it, but the other did not.

Booked a 'king' bed room and was pleasantly surprised to find it was a suite with a separate living room with a huge big screen tv, fridge, microwave oven and dishes and utensils. The only downside was that there is no air conditioning and the bedroom was very hot during the night. Wish we would have been told about this when checking in. I didn't notice the windows had screens and actually opened until the next morning.

We asked for the quietest suite possible in our initial non-refundable reservation but we were given the main floor (which meant people above us of course). It was right beside an open stairwell and the back door, with other people parking right outside our window… manager said it was the quietest possible, but did admit they assigned on a first come first served basis, so it did not seem to matter to him (Kevin) that we had reserved a non-refundable suite weeks before, with the request for ‘quietest possible’ attached to the reservation! The suite smelled like an old thrift store, the beds, bedding and furniture are old! The whole property is run down and in dire need of renovation. We left that night and went to a different hotel 90 minutes away, thereby paying for two hotel rooms. I can’t believe others gave it positive reviews!

2 bedroom cabin (#23)was recently renovated. For the most part was reasonably clean. The big detractor was the bathroom which had seen some serious water damage and had blackened flooring and trim. The shutoff valve on the toilet was broken off and the toilet was easily clogged which led for some tenuous moments of near overflow situation holding the tank float. We ended up using toilets in the main lodge to reduce the stress.

First time being in one of the newest cabins at the resort. It's great that they're new but with no night or side tables or lamps AT ALL (only overhead lighting) in the unit, it was a bit disappointing given the price in high season. Not having a utensil drawer anywhere in the kitchen = same vibe. Our family has been to Manning a number of times and stayed in other cabins that are better appointed with side/night tables, lamps etc; hopefully the newer cabins will be outfitted with these items moving forwards. We'll definitely be back but we were a bit disappointed that we weren't as thrilled with the new cabin as we'd hoped to be given the lack of attention to details as noted above. Fabulous access to outdoor activities including snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, skating and sledding at Manning that's only a little over a 2 hour drive from Vancouver.

There was no elevator, bed wasnt clean and a staff didn't help us the way we requested. Check in was at 4pm and.the slopes close at 4:30. Tubing does not have light's. It was just pointless to have check in at 4pm and.everything closes early. We didnt get to doxthe things we wanted and we spent over $600 for 2 rooms. I wouldn't stay here again. Will not recommend to family or friends.
