Although the reception is not opened for 24 hours, the duty staffs were helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is a little bit far from the ferry terminal, it is still OK because Picton is safe even we needed to walk in the darkness between the terminal and the hotel. In addition, two supermarkets are not far away. I will choose this hotel again if I come back especially the room rate is reasonable.

Nice hotel very handy for ferry. Our ferry arrived late so key was left for us. Had no interaction with staff as didn’t need to. Was in good spot for restaurants shops etc Very brief overnight stop but very nice and comfortable.

We chose to stay here as we’re arriving late and wanted just to dine in at their advertised restaurant and not have to go out. At checkin we were told that the restaurant wasn’t open as the chef wasn’t working. They still had a board sign on the driveway advertising their restraunt which I felt was misleading.

Nice clean hotel with great views and friendly staff. We had dinner at the restaurant but unfortunately it was not for us - everything was sickeningly sweet and completely unsalted. I’ve come to realize that salt is not much used in new zealand but this was the worst so far, unsalted fish drenched in sweet chili sauce. Unless you are a kiwi used to this kind of seasoning I recommend you dine elsewhere.

The property is a little dated but very clean and close for the ferry and dining. Ladies at the front desk were lovely.

While the rooms are in a decent state for 20 year old fittings, they're let down by the beds. I've stayed in multiple rooms and all the beds sag badly. WiFi is also terrible in most rooms. Other hotels in town (sadly full this week) have figured out how to make WiFi work, but not the Beachcomber. Nor have they learned how to staff a front desk from 7AM, have breakfast available in their dining room, or ever have a seat for guests in their dining room without a reservation. I've stayed here when I had to if other properties are booked out, at least ten times over twenty years. Every time I hope it will be better, and every time it is not.

Belle hôtel au centre ville près du port, courte marche pour le traversier. Nous avions une belle chambre avec balcon vue sur le port et c’était magnifique. Lits confortables et petit frigidaire. Très bon restaurant pour le souper.

Lovely place, we had super views of the harbour. Comfortable and clean. Had mini bar and restaurant for evening meal which we didn't use. Continental breakfast in room option but lots of lovely breakfast places within walking distance on beautiful shoreline.

Lovely views from our balcony and spacious room. Spa bath was a treat. Restaurant dinner was excellent and restaurant staff very helpful. Overall welcome was a bit cool and it was missing a few finishing touches. Pool was disappointingly small. Also a bit of noise in the early morning from the wharf nearby.

Very nice views of harbor, property is a bit older and furniture is dated, but the room was very clean. The shower was a bit small. We liked that it wasn’t in the center of town and was a quick walk to the main area.great Views
