Secluded and cozy

Lovely place in a great location. Sure there’s a bit of noise from the highway and the railway track but nothing that takes away the charm of the view of the lake and splendid forrest around. Rooms are tight but cozy. Staff is perfect!

This is in principle a very lovely lakeside hotel at the end of a long road. The location is very pretty, and the hotel stylish and with great breakfast and restaurant (and the 2* Michelin Signum as neighbour!). Also a great sauna/spa section.The staff are very friendly, and proud of the hotel. I can't give full points though due to two minus points: 1) a bad smell outdoors due to some on-site water treatment(?) facility, and 2) a confusing web site. For example, they are currently serving Xmas buffet as the only evening meal, but I couldn't find the price anywhere, and instead it looks as though a-la carte is available.

Remote, but nice place if you want to explore the countryside and lake. Very nice property. Staff was helpful, but often difficult to find. For the first three hours of our checkin there was some extremely loud and heavy machine construction right outside our room and the workers could look into our window. We were excited that there was sauna on the property, but were told on checkin that it would be an additional 250 SEK (about $25) per person, which is not worth it. We had an early departure to catch a flight at the Goteborg airport, so the staff were very kind to make a take-away breakfast the night before.

Väldigt trevliga rum och omgivningar. Måste dock flagga för att även om maten var väldigt god så är menyn väldigt liten med få val och väldigt dyrt. Portionerna var väldigt små och over priced. Utöver det är Hällsnäs fantastisk trevligt.

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse på Hällsnäs, fint rum, full minibar med allt man kan behöva, skön säng, lung och avslappnad miljö, trevlig personal. Om man får säga något som var negativt så var det att personalen inte visste eller kunde få information från köket om vad dagens fångst och dagens vegetariska var, vi fick svaret vit fisk och svamp med nötter. Vilket inte säger jättemycket om rätterna. En bagatell men det var det enda negativa, maten var för övrigt fantastiskt god. Vi ser fram emot vårt nästa besök.
