Great location. Parking was easy in the Vieux Port Ouest car park. Reception area and breakfast room very well decorated. Front office staff were very good before arrival with communication, and offered a welcome to us. Rooms were ready before the 3pm check in time. However, found the hotel staff generally indifferent especially the breakfast staff who weren’t welcoming and spent much of the time chatting in low tones to each other. Rooms were ok; mind the shower trays as they are VERY slippery! One of the rooms (216) only had a bath and no shower. We had advised we’d be travelling with our pet, and our room had been left with a dog bed and water bowls. The breakfast room welcomes dogs. Generally the hotel was ok, but I would look for another property if we came back to La Rochelle.
