Check- in was easy, and the front desk staff was very helpful. They provided a transit pass for the duration of the stay, which made traveling back and forth around Banff simple and car- free; this is good because the vehicle and pedestrian traffic was a little heavy over the weekend. The whole place was obviously recently redone, and done well design-wise with a nice mix of modern and more traditional design. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice balcony view of the mountains to the west and a large bathroom that looked to be wheelchair accessible. The rooftop hot pools were great after a long day of hiking, and the staff had room service deliver a tasty treat since it was our anniversary. We had dinner in the restaurant on our anniversary, and again we were given special treatment; the food was great as was the service. They're located on the eastern edge of town, but we actually liked that as it felt a bit more like a refuge after a day of being downtown; and with the bus pass transportation was a non- issue. All in all, we had a great stay and I'd recommend this place to anyone.

High praises! Great stay!

We loved our stay at The Otter and would definitely stay again. It’s very conveniently located close to downtown and right across the street from a bus stop (bus pass included with your hotel stay). Loved the room, the hot pools & gym, the restaurant…nothing but praises. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

One of the best hotels we stayed in Banff. Highly recommended. The room has the vibe of Japanese minimalism, beautifully designed, very functional and clean. Hot tub was cozy and had a view. Staff service was very helpful giving us utensils and refills of oat milk and tea.

Das Hotel ist neu und modern. Die Zimmer sind stylisch eingerichtet, allerdings nicht übermäßig groß. Das Zimmer hätte man zu viert nutzen können, wir waren zu dritt unterwegs und der Abstellplatz für die Koffer hat gerade so gereicht. Der Service im Hotel ist super, die Rezeption ist rund um die Uhr besetzt und wenn man einen Wunsch hat, wird dieser umgehend erfüllt. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Das Hotel hat eine Tiefgarage, die man kostenlos nutzen kann. Von dort aus kann man direkt mit dem Gepäck aufs Zimmer fahren. Das war sehr komfortabel. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Restaurant, in dem man frühstücken oder Abendessen kann. Alternativ gibt es ein kleines Bistro im Nachbar Hotel, welches auch Frühstück anbietet. Weiterhin bekommt man vom Hotel Busticket gratis, die man nutzen kann, um ins Zentrum von Banff zu fahren.

We enjoyed Otter hotel!

We love this hotel! We traveled with our puppy. The receptionist was very nice, gave us an upgrade to partially mountain view room. The view is very nice. With a little balcony. The room is very comfortable, with a little kitchen area, the bed is super comfortable. I slept well for all 3 nights! They also gave us a bus pass, we used it to hop on and off the bus to multiple attractions in Banff, super helpful! Must mention, the hotel restaurant is very good!

Otter Hotel - Well Worth the Stay

Great hotel and fantastic service! All amenities were fabulous and so was the restaurant - Good Folk! The only issue is the wifi signal, while it is FREE, its choppy at best unless you are towards the front of the building. But you can't beat the price, the renovations are upscale!

This was a great stay for the parking aspect but for a 4 star it is about a 20 mins walk from downtown so not great if you are wanting to spend time in the shop area and have a few. The breakfast at the restaurant was good. Dog friendly but you get a room that has been specifically designated for pets so we noticed some puke from a previous guest on the carpet that was not cleaned up. Overall a decent stay but is a bit pricey which is expected of Banff.

Loved this hotel, check in was great with lovely staff, hotel was clean, room was amazing and the beds comfortable. The hot tub rooftop area was fun, my only suggestion was the water was way too hot for warm weather, and the heated floor almost burnt your feet. Hopefully for summer they turn all the temps down.
