My group of 3 friends and I had a wonderful Amazon experience recently at Cabana Nativa Paraiso where we stayed 2 nt/ 3 days. While our rooms (2 singles and 1 twin cabin) are basic - only 1 room has hot shower, the air con works great - a step up from my Peruvian Amazon lodge! Food is home cooked and delicious with fresh juices at breakfast and lunch. Activities give a good understanding of Amazon life and our guides Eddy and Marcelo are amazing!! Transfer to lodge from Manaus by boat/ VW van/ boat takes about 2.5- 3 hrs so very convenient.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Cabana Nativa! This is not a hotel, this is not a resort - this is a unique opportunity to explore the Amazon. Here you get the chance to stay in a lodge and live alongside the locals, which is a unique experience. The employees and family that operates this are passionate, engaged & committed to you having a great time. Do not miss your opportunity to stay here! But... Go into this adventure with an open mind and connect with the locals to get the most out of this experience - only then you will truly experience the Amazon in its fullest glory. Note: It can rain, HEAVILY - Come prepared.

My wife and I had a truly memorable stay at Pousada Cabana Nativa Paraíso, largely thanks to the incredible staff and the fantastic local food. Ornella absolutely needs to be highlighted for the immense care and positivity she showed our tour group. She completely made the jungle feel like home and was so gracious in helping us fumbling foreigners connect with the locals. Her partner, Tião, worked incredibly hard as our guide and went above and beyond to explain the deep wonders of the Amazon to us. They are a fantastic team and we hope they have a very bright future ahead! A++ for both of them. To top it off, the meals provided were excellent and gave us a great taste of the local cuisine. ​As for the lodge itself, it's worth noting that the rooms have zero sound dampening. You will hear absolutely everything from your neighbors, which felt a bit like sharing a single room. We expected some of this being out in the jungle, but it's good to know going in. We also felt very rushed out during checkout to accommodate a large incoming group. Overall, a mixed facility experience saved by an elite, world-class guiding team and wonderful food!
