Everything was great for my 1 night stay. In the middle of town and convenient. Only thing i would recommend is some signage for entrance on the street. Would recommend to others

This place is super cute, in a great location and the manager was always responsive, but I definitely should’ve read the reviews before I booked. The walls are so thin that you can hear conversations through them, and it definitely didn’t help that there was a lot going on during our stay. We stayed at the same time as a baseball team, and they couldn’t have been more inconsiderate of other guests if they had tried (thank you thin walls). It was also the same weekend as Viva Big Bend, so there was live music from Amigos downstairs, but it was so loud that we ended up not being able to hear the tv in our room over it. It was great that ear plugs are readily available for guests, and I definitely used them on night two. Overall, the room decor/cleanliness, centralized location, and staff were amazing, but I would never stay here again.

It’s not that this place was all that bad, especially if you’re only staying for one night. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. However, the rooms have no soundproofing at all. They do provide earplugs, which is thoughtful, but unfortunately I can’t use them because I’m prone to ear infections, and I don’t recall being warned about how noisy it can be. Our room was also much smaller than I expected. I had booked a queen bed, but I’m fairly certain it was a full, as it felt much more cramped than the queen I have at home. There was no seating besides the bed, and to reach the second bed there was only a very narrow walkway. Overall, this place might be fine if you’re just passing through and don’t mind noise or a very small room. But if you’re looking for comfort and quiet, it may not be the best fit.

The place is nice and quaint but our air conditioning unit was loud; no chair to sit on but the bed; no hair dryer; we could hear the nextdoor occupants conversations and noises; and we could hear the traffic noise in the area. Needs more insulation for sound barrier. Also, it’s a good idea to put sets of earplugs IN THE ROOM not in the general area because we did not find any in the GA. The keyless entry system was good but the main door could potentially be left open if someone does not take the time to keep it shut. Parking was inconvenient. Otherwise, the restaurant food was good and the staff was very accommodating.

Dirty Sheets

The conditions were bad. The sheets had NOT been changed. No one to call. I had to use a washcloth to clean some of it up. No closet or place to hang things. The bed was awful with a big whole in the middle.

It had a very noisy environment, noisy air conditioner, no refrigerator in room. The door had a huge gap at the bottom of it, and didn't feel secure. I wasn't aware I would need ear plugs, until after I paid in full. The shower didn't stay hot, and the shower head was painful.; The bed was comfortable and it was clean. The remotes needed new batteries. There was no place for a couch to sit, it was a very small room. No breakfast provided.

Communication is lacking . . .

Do to a need to make an adjustment and report to a military installation a day early, we attempted to contact the hotel by both email and phone to let them know we could not make it and to ask if we could change our reservation by a day. We did not receive the requested phone call, the response from management was delayed nearly 24 hours and the cancellation process on Hotels.com did not work. Three times I tried to send a cancellation as a courtesy so that the manager could use the room if there was a late arrival, but the app did not work. Hotels.com is still sending survey questions about check in, etc . . . I have had good luck with hotels.com in the past. This trip did not live up to it, especially with communication. This is concerning as this is the second trip in a row that we have had communications issues.

The room was small. I had a reserved a deluxe room expecting a queen size bed. There waa a smaller double bed. The bed was otherwise comfortable and room was clean. I would have expected at least a chair in the room, but there was none. There is a common room with a refrigerator to put some stuff in, but none in your room. The staff was friendly but it is not staffed full time (which i knew before hand). The biggest problem was the location a block away from the hotel. I was woken up at least 4-5 times throughout the night by VERY loud train whistles. Obviously the hotel can not control this and they did provide ear plugs for your use. But i did not see anything about this previously. I would not return unfortunately because it is right in the heart of the town near restaurants.

Dirty, heat did not work. Staff was unresponsive and no parking. Could be a great place but don’t recommend it

The hotel was very clean. The beds were super comfortable. There is a common refrigerator and a common room. The rooms are small but overall it’s a good price.

What was failed to mention is the hotel is located directly above a bar with live music. Once in the room, there are ear plugs available but no refunds offered due to the noise.

Awful experience

This is not a hotel for the following reasons. Hotels have front desk and give keys, not an outside number texting you with two codes to access the hotel and the room. There was no elevator, two flights of stairs so travel light because noone will help you get your things to the second floor because there is no one there!. No amenities in the room. Very youth hostel like. Hardwood floors everywhere so prepare to use those earplugs that are in the common area..there was nothing in the place to soak up noise. This is a hostel. There are no amenities in the room. There is a common room with 1 coffee maker and 1 refrigerator for all the rooms. It said that it has a restaurant and bar and it does not .it's a bar half block away and there are other reviews that said the 10% discount is a lie. We don't know. Also there is no pool..the free parking is in the street.

The room we stayed in was a bit smaller than what i like but don't let that deter you. The room was the perfect temperature, had two very comfortable beds, a smart tv with Roku, a clean bathroom and very little ambient noise. All with a beautiful rustic decor. Check in and check out were as simple as it gets. The location was perfect. We will definitely be staying here again.
