I had a very disappointing stay at Ibis Ripollet Barcelona. From the moment we arrived, the staff were unhelpful and showed no interest in welcoming guests. There was no guidance at all – nobody explained where our room was, how to get there, or gave any basic information about the hotel.
We were not informed about breakfast times, pricing, or any facilities. It felt like the staff simply didn’t care. No smiles, no communication, nothing.
On top of that, I was asked to provide my card details “in case I damage something so IBIS can debit me.” Excuse me – what? I’ve stayed in many hotels and never experienced anything like that being explained in such a blunt and unprofessional way.
To make things worse, there was no WiFi during our stay due to a Vodafone issue, but again, no one properly explained the situation or offered any solution.
The outside area of the hotel is also quite dirty and feels messy, which doesn’t create a good first impression.
Overall, very poor customer service and a complete lack of basic hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
