Lovely room with great bathroom. A bath and separate shower was a treat. Plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. WiFi was good and nice decor. Staff were pleasant and was lovely to be able to converse Welsh. Location was handy for lots of places to visit. Defo hope to be back

Good location for people planning to drive/explore around Mid-North Wales or purely want to have a peaceful time. Plenty of parking space. Love the vibe the hotel shows. Lovely food (both dinner and included breakfast). I can see why food here is awarded. Staff are friendly. The downside is the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom. Plus, the blockage of the drain in the bath. Water everywhere after taking the shower.

A Must stay!

Just WOW! What a wonderful find, and it's a must-visit. The staff, food, service, rooms, and wonderful patrons made this a highlight of my trip to Wales. This is a little gem, and you must go out of your way to stay and dine in the restaurant.

Perfect in every way

The room was fantastic, spacious with every detail considered. The bed was very comfortable and huge! The bathroom had a separate bath and shower with double sinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Definitely worth a visit! I forgot to mention the food, that was delicious too!

The accommodation itself was lovely with a beautiful bathroom, the building itself needed a bit of care in places but because this is a community owned building the money is needed for other things like the rooms which have been done. I do not think this is a hotel but more a bed and breakfast as you have to pay for an evening meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs every night along with any drinks, you are unable to charge them to your room. It also only opens between 16.00 and 22.00 and for a breakfast in the mornings (guests only for breakfast) anything else between those times are a no. All that being said the village and surroundings are beautiful, and would go back there if I went that way again.

Quick and easy check in. Room had been recently renovated and had everything needed and was very clean throughout with soft fluffy towels and fresh smelling linens. Food was great quality both at breakfast and from the main menu later in the day. Make sure you book if you want a table for dinner as it is very popular. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Really nice room!

The Pub has just been reopened after a major renovation and the rooms are like new. We were in room 1 and it has a lovely big comfy bed and a bathroom that you could have football match in… huge! Big bath and shower 2 sinks etc. nice food, friendly staff etc. All good!!

Overall, we would recommend this hotel, as the stay was pleasant and the location is nice. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The cleanliness could be better. Breakfast portions were quite small and the selection was limited — it would be great to see more variety. It would also help if staff asked about guests’ preferences before preparing breakfast, especially when staying with children, as kids don’t always eat everything. With a few improvements, this could be a really lovely place to stay.

MAGNIFICENT BREAK

Having a specific room requirement the hotel give me options and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. With the Hotel room only refurbished in October 24, they were well finished and furnished. We ate in the restaurant with the menu offering a good variety of food and we we very happy with the quality of the food. Finally a big thank you to Dela who was a supMagerb host.
