This home has a lot of positives. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and the layout is very spacious, easily accommodating larger groups. The guidebook is well organized, there are plenty of outlets, and the beds are comfortable with warm throw blankets. TVs in almost every room, remote-control ceiling fans, and on-site laundry add nice convenience. DoorDash and deliveries also had no trouble finding the home.
However, there were several issues during my stay. None of the bathrooms had hot water, and the third bathroom only reached lukewarm. Cold showers are a NO. The owner suggested checking the switch panel and waiting 10–15 minutes for the water to warm up, but neither helped, and guests shouldn’t be expected to troubleshoot maintenance problems. I also saw multiple bugs—a roach in the kitchen, a large jumping spider on the sofa, and another bug later—so the property likely needs another pest treatment and seal door gaps.
The floors could use a proper mopping and the baseboards/dust boards need dusting. Although a cleaning fee is charged, guests are still expected to take out trash, wash and put away dishes, and strip the beds, which felt excessive. The HVAC has limits on how hot or cold you can set it. One bathroom door has visible damage from a patched hole. The neighborhood appears to be in transition—quiet but still a bit rough in areas.
Overall, it’s a comfortable and spacious home, but several maintenance and cleaning improvements are needed to make it a five-star stay.
