DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 17

Our room was the only room under the restaraunt of the hotel which serves free breakfast beginning at 8AM. We were woken up at 6am both mornings to stomping and constant furniture being moved across the floor. There were no other available rooms so despite paying the same as everyone else, we were unable to sleep in the morning. Not ideal for a “relaxing” vacation.

Nice property, needs TLC & better vibe from staff

The room was very clean and comfortable. The property is right on the beach with a great view. The property does seem to need some TLC. For instance, I reported that the door had to be slammed multiple times for the latch to catch (so anyone couldn't just enter the room). Also the thermostat needs to be replaced since it was nearly impossible to get to the screen needed to adjust the temp. I reported this 2x and both people at the desk did not seem to be too attentive to actually reporting it and getting it fixed. Given that there is a $40 per day resort fee that includes breakfast, it would have been nice if the waiter could have been a little friendlier. He was pretty cranky to all guests.

Bed Bugs!

Decent place right on a beach. Breakfast was good. I am pretty sure the room had bedbugs, hope we didn't bring any back! The door did not lock good, glad it is in a location that I didn't have to worry about theft. Would come back if the bed bugs were taken care of.

Best kept secret in Marathon!

Great family vacation getaway. Super quiet and relaxing. Friendly staff and excellent food at the restaurant. If you’re looking to relax perfect destination. Sunrise views are spectacular.

Weekend getaway

Our room was nice and roomy clean could hear thru the door for the ajoining room sometimes to noisy. Was disappointed with the breakfast menu and service. My wife also got a glimpse into the kitchen she said it did not look clean. would go somewhere else. Overall everything was ok the ocean veiw is great location is good fyi we have been here 5 times the people are freindly and the rooms are nice.

The view is one you will not forget!

I'll be honest- I hesitate to even give a review because I want to keep this treasure a secret for when we go back, but the staff and owner deserve an amazing review. This was hands down the coolest place we (as a family of 3- including a 13 yr old) could've stayed. The property is directly on the ocean and it's an absolutely stunning view. The palms bend right over the lounge chairs and pool making for gorgeous photo opportunities. The resort offers clear bottom kayaks and paddle boards for you to enjoy and even has cornhole boards ready to play. It's a perfect location to snorkel or fish. The rooms are a little outdated, but clean, and who goes on vacation to stay in the room anyway... Staff was very accomodating and the breakfast was yummy!

Peaceful and Beautiful!

The views and location are unbeatable! The beach and pool are beautiful, the rooms are huge and clean. It’s a nice quiet relaxing place to stay, and all the activities on the Keys are an easy drive from here. The breakfast is delicious!

Not great at all. Grubby and not maintenaned.

For the cost of this Hotel we expected much more. The whole resort had a very strong unpleasant smell, the room had several maintenance issues such as broken blinds, non functioning door lock, broken toilet cistern, missing light bulbs. Only stayed two nights so didn't bother reporting everything. The complimentary breakfast was a pretty mean offering served in the on site restaurant which was also in poor condition and very grubby which was off-putting and felt unhygienic. The serving staff gave us the same feelings too. We had no coffe maker anx there was nowhere on site to purchase any hot drink options. In every single hotel in the USA we've ever stayed in there's always a coffee maker in the room. Definitely couldn't recommend this place. Sorry

A so so experience

We were given very little information when we checked in. We were not told that a restaurant was available for dinner so we were too late to make a reservation that night. They advertise on the beach, but the beach is sand only, no water access. Just rocks like the coast of Maine. There is a definite lack of help in the restaurant in the morning. One guy running around trying to do everything. He was very pleasant. The whole resort needs a little TLC. If you want anything you must go to the office yourself and get it. The office is open and closed sporadically. Nothing is in the room telling you about restaurants or activities in the area. I will say that once we were able to get a reservation in the restaurant the food was very good. It seems to be very popular which creates a problem if you go out at night, trying to find a place to park when you return. It could be a really nice place if a little work was put into it.

Deceptive and falsely advertised.

We got baited by fake photos of a cottage on the beach but ended up in a loud adjoining room on the highway w/ super loud traffic and in perfect earshot of next room’s convo. Total yuck!
