Great New Brand New Hotel

Brand new hotel. The staff was perfect, the atmosphere and amenities are all TOP notch. If you have kids they'll love the 4 pools (wave pool, lazy river, water slides) and an arcade. They have a great selection of foods/restaurants. I'll be staying there again

Great new place

Great new hotel. Still working out some kinks. Door lock wasn’t working, shampoo pump was broken, check in and check out lines were extremely long and each person had some issue that the staff didn’t know how to resolve. Not all restaurants are open yet and the rest have some limited hours. Poolside service was excellent. Overall a great place for families. Probably not for a romantic getaway since there are kids everywhere.
SHERRY, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Don't waste your money

Should be top notch hotel but it isn't. Self parking feels like a mile away. Too much walking especially if you're carrying/dragging luggage. Too many little things were not right (broken. Not working, housekeeping didn't replace things) self parking is "45/night, valet parking in $45. Just way too expensive and not top quality.
Marie, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Big Disappointment

Sell day passes to locals and pool is overcrowded. Not enough servers, food is served in paper trays equivalent to fair food. Valet is $60 and takes over an hour to get car. Ate dinner at onsite restaurant and was told we had to wait for a heater (took 45 min) we were freezing. Ended up leaving hotel early and didn’t even stay the night. Big disappointment.
1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hospitality was terrible, except for Rubio the bell man, was the only friendly and helpful employee. The rest was good except the wave pool was broken all three days.

EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE

I am super impressed by the beautiful grounds Mohammed checked me in and omg what a gem of an employee!!! He and everything about this stay and experience was TOP NOTCH I booked a room for my birthday and its was on some Vegas level 5 Star Only complaint Kids were in Adult pool and that was off putting. Kids are great but Adult pool should be honored Also the wait for drinks and food was longer then it needed to be as well Other then this. I will return!!
Blanca, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

My family went with my seven year-old son, and we loved it, my son couldn’t get enough from the waterpark. The opportunity was with the food, this was food that we had in the pool area, they need to improve the menu the price for the quality is not fully there. But also they are just opened and will get better.
Patricia Pulido, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Overrated for the price. The tv streaming services were not working. Pool is not heated and hot tub was crowded. Food was good but overpriced, there are better restaurants and bar in the area at 3rd Ave at 1/4th of the price. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was kind.
kelvin, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Only one room was available when we arrived and I requested side to side rooms; we lost time to claim that after the room was ready and my wife lost almost an hour. My reservation said check out at noon and the welcome note said 11 am The worse thing was that the wave pool was not available any day and that was the reason why selected the best and newest hotel at SD.
Juan, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The resort has been open for a little over 1-month. According to the staff, this was the first busy weekend. They did a great job, though it was clear that they were stressed to keep up. The room was surprisingly quiet - by 10pm, the conventioneers went to bed and the air conditioning was the quietest I have ever experienced. Our dinner at the Old Hickory restaurant was top notch. The staff were knowledable about all of the foods and wines. The water park is medium-sized, has a nice lazy river and wave pool. We would have loved to spend an entire day there. It felt like vegas. We will visit next year when they are in full-swing and definitely for 2-3 nights. Maybe we'll take the trolley and walk!

6/10 Good

Want a honest review well here it is , the resort is nice and new but in reality has nothing to offer for families, a small water park which is about it , a resort this big should of had family activities, like games kids activities etc, so unorganized bell desk took about 1 hour to pick up our bags which made us loose our breakfast reservation. Plus I wasn't offered a complimentary upgrade being a platinum member from Expedia and they had a lot of room available. Very expensive and not much to do I would definitely not come back unless they add kid activities and add like some sort of indoor playground for the kids. 3 star ⭐
Eduardo, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Overpriced, overcrowded, rude staff, horrible service, room had neither a clock, hand soap the cream for the coffee was lumpy. Wait times for anything you wanted were exponentially long. Parking was a nightmare. Our dinner was awful in the the manner of not receiving a dish as well as being charged for items we didn’t receive and receiving a dish which had ingredients one patron was very allergic to despite it being noted in the original order. Inconsistent information given at the water slides in regards to height of children. Will never be back.
Lisa, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

A nice hotel, but we expected a little more. I paid extra for a "corner bay view balcony suite" but was told that none were ready at check-in. They offered what they said was an "upgrade" to a better room, but it turned out to be just a regular bay view balcony room that I could have paid less for at the time of booking, so I felt a little cheated. Aside from that, the room did have a nice view and was new and clean. I do have to complain about the light timers in the bathroom, they would shut the lights off every 7 seconds (I timed it)... Considering the price that we are paying for this room? I would have preferred not to have to shower and use the toilet in the dark! Also, the AC in the room didn't seem to work properly, we never could cool the room below 77 for some reason. I hope that they fix these kinks soon. The hotel lobby is very pretty, the restaurants are nice but pricey. The quality of our sushi was awesome, and our steak at the Old Hickory was really good with great service. The "speakeasy" was nice, but there was no club or place to dance, which might be a problem for future conventioneers who are used to being downtown. The pools were nice, nothing over the top, not crowded, and much more relaxing than I had expected.
Christopher, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

We chose the hotel mostly because of its amenities, however we were disappointed due to what was explained as a soft opening. Who uses verbiage like soft opening with the public. Is this verbiage common knowledge? I was dissatisfied with the lack of customer service. I mean, I specifically asked about dinning accommodations. Grant it I was given all the restaurant's; It would have been nice if have been informed of one needing reservations and offered the ability to make one right there and then. We’re weren’t told there was also a restaurant across from the resort. Pretty shady and in my view totally lacked professionalism. Next, we thought we could enjoy the jacuzzi but it was filled with children because the kiddy pools were closed, truth be told I’d never seen children in a jacuzzi (totally not their fault) we had simply planned for an adult getaway. Finally, a convention center without a business center. Without getting too much into the weeds I’d planed on getting a few work related loose ends taken care of but that too fell through. Very disappointing. Didn’t get the opportunity to use our jacuzzi bands…This place might be better in a couple of years, I just don’t think we should have been the Guinea pigs.
