The stay was good, but two things the store should have more essentials groceries and there was no elevator and I was on the bottom floor walking up and down those flights of stairs was a bit much. But otherwise everything was great!!

Blue beards is a really great place to stay. It was very comfortable and had a great view! The only compliant Inhave is that I wish I had booked it through the hotel and not hotels.com! When we checked in the hotel wasn’t aware of our reservation and we had to wait an hour for them to have our room ready.

Needs a facelift & attitude adjustment

The property is in rough shape. It was probably great in 1990! The bellman was rude. Everyone but the bartenders seem bothered to give service. The whole place seems like it’s ripping at the seams. Our room was comfortable enough but there were stray hairs all over the place. Gross! The food and drinks were okay, but it’s weird that they serve everything in styrofoam and plastic.

OK property, bad attitude

The property is fine. A bit further from beautiful beaches but I knew that before arriving. However, the customer service is absolutely terrible. The front desk person is extremely rude, difficult to work with, and unfriendly. Other than enjoying the nice news of Havensight, my stay was average. With the attitude, I am for sure not going to come back nor recommend this place to anyone.

Pirates Pension at Bluebeard's Castle is a great location for a visit at St Thomas. Situated on a hill above Charlotte Amalie you get a great view of the cruise ships and other boats in the water which is within walking distance. It is a hill, so walking is down and up. Nice location with nice rooms. A little noisy on weekends from the restaurants at the port

Beautiful location. Rooms in great condition and comfortable. Difficulties with transportation. The property is located up a hill and sidewalks are limited walking to town. Taxis are not always available specially on the days there are cruise ships in the bay. The staff at the restaurant, luggage storage is great. The front desk , on the other hand, is nort very cordial.

Overall good location with gorgeous views of the bay. Beds and pillows were i bit to firm for my taste. The room was spacious and overall clean. Except the floor was fairly dirty and the back slider had a broken lock.

Having the restaurant on the property was convenient and the food was decent. The pool and hot tub were nice, the room was clean and had everything needed. The wait staff was friendly all around. The castle was closed even though the sign said it was open daily Monday- Saturday which was disappointing.

Expensive and the property is a little worn down and aging, but we loved how it preserved its former Danish and pirate culture and history. Our son was especially fascinated by all the canons and the statue of Blue Beard. Some of the front desk staff seemed a little disorganized and not the friendliest. The restaurant was ok and also a little over-prices. Our server, Shy, was terrific though and so friendly. But, the Pirate Pension rooms were spacious and had everything you needed. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Spectacular views!

We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a spectacular view. Apartment was very clean. Kitchen amenities were fine, although no skillet. Toured Bluebeard’s Museum which was really fun and interesting. Pool area also had spectacular views. Great location.

A) Poor communication; my messages repeated 3 times in 2 weeks, were never responded to. B) Front desk staff needs training; they don’t know how to smile. C) We were fortunate to be in a renovated unit; very clean. But you never know in advance what type of room you would get. D) Balcony overlooks the ocean; great view E) Food was average. F) They get an ‘F’ for not maintaining the main road approaching the development.
