If you are going one place - this is it!

Perfect stay in Zanzibar. If you want a quiet, cosy and well-maintained place in the island, Konkokoro is an ideal place to stay. We felt like having a private beach :). The food was delicious. The staff was so nice. Facility is clean. Highly recommended !

Memorable honeymoon

Overall, it was an absolutely amazing experience - we stayed in the over-water villa. Extremely helpful staff, great service, amazing food options, the views were incredible, 2 restaurant options so overall very pleased with that. One thing to be aware of is that they do have an electricity issue where randomly in the middle of the night, they are left with no electricity. I was told it's the whole island problem so bear that in mind. Also, their villas aren't entirely sealed so I had a few ants crawl into my luggage and a few lizards on the outside of the villa. It is a bit further out from the rest of the island so you'll need a hire car or taxi to get to other places if you do decide to leave the resort. Overall: I'd highly recommend it! Thank you for a wonderful hospitality.

Beau de loin mais loin d’être beau

Je déconseille cet hôtel, qui n’a que la superbe plage pour lui. C’est bien là le seul point positif de cet hôtel. En aucun cas c’est un 5 étoiles, les finitions sont déplorables, l’hôtel en lui même n’ai pas entretenu, la nourriture est très peu varié et hors de prix pour ce que c’est ( en effet il ne suffit pas de mettre trois rondelles de concombre et une demi tomate dans une jolie assiette avec des points de sauce pour que ce soit un plat travaillé). Extrement déçu, heureusement nous n’avions réservé que deux nuits. Le personnel n’ai pas très aimable et on ne se sent pas à l’aise. Je déconseille vraiment, les photos sont très jolies mais ne relate pas la réalité, de plus la route pour arrivé jusqu’à l’hôtel est une horreur, un 4x4 est presque obligatoire. De plus, nous devions avoir la chambre pour 14h, nous avons dû attendre presque 1h pour que quelqu’un nous y emmène enfin, bref gardez votre argent et dépensez le dans un autre hôtel !

My stay at konokono in the over water villa was horrendous taking in to consideration how much you are spending. The food variety and the actual food itself is extremely poor, I ordered beef but it was though I was chewing on a tyre. The only thing good was the fruit. I previously went to 2 hotels in Zanzibar before konokono which were also 5* where the food was prepared by excellent chefs. Furthermore, the overwater villa is not private at all, whilst taking a shower there are fisherman and boats which go past and there’s no curtain on the window so you can be seen naked. The interior of the room is out of date and a lot of dust when taken a look at in detail. The worse part is where the hotel is located, it’s a 10-12 minute bumpy ride once you see the sign of the hotel. Would not recommend this hotel at all, Riu palace is an excellent place located in a lively area. Alma boutique is also very good if you are looking for somewhere a little more quiet. I give konokono 3*

-Road to hotel needs to be redone quite bumpy (15 mins prior to arrival) -Far from airport breakfast and dinner included customer service (Felix, Beatrice to name a few) over water villa room definitely gives luxury peaceful birthday song with sparkler cake surprise floating breakfast beautiful experience -phone in room didn’t work reported but not fixed massage was great flexibility (late checkout, last minute add on spa service) allow you to charge to the room (except for tips)

Placering er enestående. Water villa er super. Både indretning og placering perfekt. Maden er som sådan ok. Men ufattelig primitiv og kedelig. Både morgenmad og aftensmad er mere end ordinært. Betjeningen er ganske enkelt ikke dygtige nok. De kan ikke svare på spørgsmål, de taler ringe engelsk og når man kommer 15 minutter for tidligt til måltidet er de slet ikke i stand til at håndtere det. Det er ganske enkelt elendig
