relaxing estancia but room for improvement
Beautiful setting, peaceful and relaxing with opportunities to horse ride by the lake and experience estancia life. It's a long taxi ride from the centre and airport but this did not really concern us since it was soley a two night base from which to experience perito moreno. However I do feel that the estancia takes advantage of the guests being far from the centre by hiking up food and drink prices: 20USD for a sandwich and cereal bar lunch box?! We totally avoided the ridiculous lunch box but very much enjoyed the lamb ravioli and empanadas, however the patagonian lamb was a let down as was the choripan - we experienced much better and (cheaper!) from street stalls elsewhere. The rooms provide a lovely view however the beds and showers need serious attention, the bath was tiny, the shower squirted water in every single direction possible and the beds were also small and very uncomfortable (two beds pushed together in an attempt to make a double - nightmare!) Our highlight was Victoria: professional and friendly and a fabulous horse riding guide :)
