We booked this place as a one-night stop during our trip up through the hill country and we quickly regretted not staying longer! The property is nestled in a really nice, quiet area. They have hiking trails near by (which we love), a little shop on-site and a nice hang-out area. We booked a basic cabin, which had bunk beds and a double bed with only a mini-fridge which was just fine for us. The cabin was really clean and the beds were comfortable. This is a place we are really hoping to get a chance to get back to, once the weather warms up a bit.

The area is beautiful, peaceful. The only thing is no signal in the area. Its ok if you want to disconnect but if you have an emergency you can't call anyone. Yes they have a phone number in case of an emergency but how you can call if you don't have signal in the resort? Something for the management to think about it. On Tuesday night we had an emergency with our car and it was a nightmare to communicate outside and receive messages. Also the resort office is closed Monday and Tuesday. Also, a suggestion, please have a golf car, like the ones that you have for the maintenance, to use it in case of emergency or assist a client. We were in the top of the cabins, and we had to walk a lot back and forth looking for signal and help. Thanks God we found help on Wednesday when the office was open and we were able to call insurance, tow services and our family (Dec 31). What a way to finish our vacations... I hope nobody has to deal with a situation like this, very frustrating. In terms of the room, it was clean, cozy and comfortable. Beautiful views. The only thing, we can't use the TV during the night because the signal situation. My only suggestions for the room: Please provide a better pillows to sleep, those 2 were very stiff and hard. In general, the place is good. Its just a few things that could be better. I wish you all the best. Blessings!

We used to come here often and had wonderful experiences, but had not been in 6 years. Management had changed. We were told there wasn’t a burn ban the day we booked, but found out there was the day we arrived so we had to purchase a grill on the way We had to move cabins due to a large family constantly yelling at each other. We believe they were family of the staff. We did appreciate the staff accommodating us. It didn’t appear that anyone was maintaining the public bathhouse We stayed Sunday to Wednesday and bathrooms were never cleaned and garbage was not taken out. There were no dumpsters near our cabin, at least that we could find. The hot tub and pool were not maintained or warm. We had seven stray cats that would hang around our cabin and beg for food; this was a bit uncommon when trying to grill and eat. The general store was closed Monday and Tuesday which was a bit inconvenient since it was most of our trip.We had to go into town for items they sold in the store, at least they used to sell them. The hiking trail is as I remember. This made the trip worth it. My family enjoyed fishing, even though the water was low. We love to visit Love Creek Orchard near by in Medina. I’m hoping it was just an off week, but we still recommend this resort. Overall, we had a good time. We had been there several times so we knew what to expect staying in the cabins there, but if it’s your first time in a bunkhouse make sure you prepare well, so you do not have to drive to town.

We had an incredible stay at Texas Hill Country Resort! The Rranch house is absolutely massive and so comfortable—it really has everything you need to feel at home. The views are phenomenal, and the staff couldn't have been kinder. One helpful tip for future guests: the main stove is currently disconnected, so while the hosts provide electric grills, you might want to plan simple meals or prep ahead if you're cooking for a large group. Aside from that, it was a perfect getaway, and we’ll definitely be returning!

The cabin itself was not an ideal place we would had wanted to stay the night. Pictures on the internet is misleading. It was dingy along with the cover on the bed. The community facility is in much needed of updating and cleaning. We checked in and once we saw the cabin and facility. We quickly went to the front office and check out. We were looking forward to our trip but it was a disappointment.

We loved our cozy cabin, bear hiking, and all the amenities. The only thing we didn't like was the lack of Wi-Fi connection. So if you're looking to go on a vacation here, make sure you don't want anyone bothering you, cuz you will have no service most of the time. This is a nice place to relax and detach from the world.
