I mean -we expected exactly what we found. We were looking for a convenient place on the highway between Manchester and London and this seemed to be the only one. For one night it worked. Maybe some families with kids might not appreciate the environment - but I think the people at this hotel are doing something very good. We had a comfortable night and everything was fine. The hotel was very quite, we had a nice sleep and left very relaxed the morning after. It is not fancy, very basic, and I would surely book again. Also very convenient with the free parking and right next to the supermarket.

Look I get it. It’s not exactly the most glamorous part of UK but it’s functional decent and I didn’t have any issues whilst I was there. It may be an old building but at least try to support a business and for a good price that’s actually what I wanted I wasn’t expecting luxury or my own chauffeur or anything. I just wanted somewhere functional and relaxing and I got that I’ve been in worst hotels in different parts of the world and I can honestly say this one more five star service the other rough ones I’ve been too

Cracking floor boards. Environment is very outdated, leaking ceiling. Cigarette burns all over carpet. Stains on wall that looked like faeces.

The staff didn't tell us where to go for the rooms. The rooms were not cleaned to a high standard, there was graffiti etched into the headboard and tipexed into the drawers. Some drawers were locked so we could not use them. The toilet was coming off the wall when sat on. There were socks under the pillow so we weren't sure if the sheets had been changed and the bed was uncomfortable. The parking was hard to find (no signage at the junction) and the entrance was covered by roadworks, which you had to clamber over to get to the hotel, and you could not walk in to the property but had to ring a doorbell to be let in. It did not look anything like the pictures and was in fact quite dilapidated

Not so clean. Staff ok but one over charged me 3 quids for food, drinks, no reason given. Very noisy housekeeping, they bang doors, chat and play loud music outside your rooms.

Avoid at all costs..drug addicts use the hotel car park. The room was dirty and disgusting..looked like blood stains on the curtains. 4 different carpets on the floor and the bathroom was in a very poor condition. Mattress and pillows old and uncomfortable. We checked after less than an hour as it was totally unsafe.

Faulty electric sockets. Cramped room with bed against wall, bathroom with barely enough room to use toilet. No bar or breakfast room. Guests smoking weed outside front door. Parking is on an unmaintained area at rear of hotel. Cheap but won’t stay again.

How this hotel is even allowed on this website is beyond me. The staff even said 'this isn't a nice place to stay' when I arrived, the condition of the room was disgusting, there was faeces in the toilet, toilet roll stuck to the ahoer chrtain, thick dust and splats and marks on every wall and surface. Safe to say i did mot complete my stay there, when I say stay away I mean STAY AWAY.

Great staff and room was cosy with a large bathing area. Nice sized parking area jusf behind, although that's relatively dependent on how "decently " others chhose to park. The bedroom door had an adequate lock, the door itself felt "flimsy"... so even though the bed was really comforrable, i didn't sleep like so well asdoor lets sijnd in too wasily bre

The evening receptionist was lovely, friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable, the en suite was clean, there was a portable heater when it got a little cold at night. On the first night of my stay the single room I was given did not have a kettle so the receptionist changed it for a room with a kettle at no extra charge to me.
