This is a dive hotel that we have stayed in for 25+ years. We have come to know many of the employees. It’s clean and close to about everything you would need. Grocery across the street, nice restaurants, and a nice 4-5 block walk to downtown. The No Name Bar is downstairs with a pool and excellent service (Alma, Carman & others) with good food. Prices are reasonable. Save your money for other things. We sleep, cleanup and head out to dive and lite shop. A note …….. the Cuda is not a 4-5 star property. I would go with a 2.5-3. We love it!!!!

Tuvimos una buena experiencia en el Hotel Barracuda. El personal fue muy amable y atento durante toda nuestra estancia. El hotel cuenta con alberca y restaurante, donde ofrecen un 50 % de descuento a los huéspedes. También hay un centro de buceo dentro del hotel, donde Juan fue especialmente amable y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudarnos. El principal aspecto que podrían mejorar es el wifi, ya que solamente está disponible en el lobby y no llega a las habitaciones. Esto puede resultar bastante incómodo porque, al menos en nuestra habitación, tampoco había señal de teléfono. Por tanto, no podíamos utilizar los datos móviles ni conectarnos al wifi; teníamos que salir al balcón para conseguir señal o bajar al lobby. En general, fue una buena estancia, con un personal excelente y buenas instalaciones, pero disponer de wifi en las habitaciones mejoraría mucho la experiencia.

I've been staying at the Hotel Barracuda almost every year since 1991. I've seen lots of changes over the years yet the staff are just as consistent and kind as ever. Love the convenience of Mega ( grocery store) across the street, daily housekeeping, common areas are kept clean and neat, pool bar/ restaurant has reduced prices for hotel guests, dive shop on premise, walking distance to town. 7-11 has awesome coffee. You can get a massage and/ or adjustment at the chiropractors clinic downstairs. I always enjoy my stay there . 24 hour security. I always feel safe there.

If you're looking for cheap beach front with walking distance to the city centre, and don't care too much about noise, cleanliness and very basic accommodation, this is the place. Nice bar which is busy during the afternoons when cruiseships are around. Rooms have aircon and a fridge.

Un hotel con una excelente ubicacion 10\10 a 5 minutos del muelle, centro, restaurantes y enfrente de una megacomercial (para poder ir a compara lo necesario). La poca playa que tiene es suficiente para poder tomar el sol, el mar o alberca natural que se forma es genial, nos encanto. las habitaciones comodas, amplias y con lo necesario. Es un hotel rustico y creo que necesita remodelacion en baños (algo que es costoso) pero sin problema regresaria al mismo hotel sin dudarlo.

Not very friendly staff in the lobby, experienced about 6 days of it…they act like you’re bothering them if you ask anything. The pool and ocean front was nice but would not stay again due to the pool music and night club sounds coming from somewhere nearby all the way until 3am. Very basic and budget friendly but at our cost of peace. The location and convenience of everything close by was nice. Good dive resort on sight was great.
