Gem in Phalaborwa

What an amazing gem in Phalaborwa. Host was super friendly and on point with everything. The rooms were spotless nothing was spared on attention to detail. I would highly recommend any traveler to this Guesthouse.

We stayed at the Sunbird Lodge for 3 nights, and it was very peaceful and quiet. It had two twin beds, a set of bunk beds, small kitchenette, television, air conditioning, desk and chair, as well as outdoor patio. The pool was clean and extremely warm, but refreshing. The outside area was well maintained and staff was always busy keeping it that way. The common area had a bar (honor system) and rooftop patio with comfortable furniture. The breakfast area was beautifully arranged and we enjoyed the large fish tank. The breakfast was delightful, as well as delicious and made to order. There was plenty to choose from. The staff, especially the hosts deserve recognition for such warm hospitality and recommendations. Dave made Safari reservations for us and our guide was simply the best. The restaurant recommendation was wonderful so we eat there 3 times! We would not hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend. Thumbs up to Sunbird Lodge! Thank you!

Phantastische Unterkunft in dieser Preiskathegorie

Quiet, peaceful setting with beautiful grounds. Rooms are large, clean and very private. Has pool and bbq area. We were warmly welcomed by Dave our host, who, along with his wife, Sam, was extremely helpful throughout our stay. All of his recommendations panned out as promised. We stayed there as a base to explore Kruger Park. Great experience!

Wonderful B&B in Phalaborwa outside of Kruger

Sunbird is a wonderful B&B with gracious hosts, beautiful grounds including a fab swimming pool and quiet rooms. Breakfast was 5 star. We had a 2 night stay 6 of us as we toured Kruger. Recommend it.

Gracias a sus amables duenos

Fantastica la atencion de sus propios duenos. El parque que tienen es magnifico. El desayuno completo con opciones calientes. Desafortunadamente sufrimos el robo de nuestro equipo fotografico que fue dejado a la vista dentro del auto, lo cual condiciono nuestro animo, pero este evento sucedio en la playa de estacionamiento del supermercado spar que esta a unas 800 metros del hotel. Recomendacion a todo los que viajan a sud africa, limitar objetos de valor al minimo, incluso ropa, y no dejar nada a la vista dentro del coche.

No point staying anywhere else

I always stay at Sunbird Lodge when visiting Phalaborwa. Truth be told there is honestly no point looking for anywhere else. Large room with private veranda, fridge, tea & coffee, cable TV, private bathroom (shower only) secure parking.

Comfortable and friendly lodging - spacious rooms

My family and I spent a night at Sunbird Lodge after leaving the Kruger National Park. The Lodge is ideally suited for exploring the park as it is situated just outside the park's Phalaborwa Gate. The owners are charming and very welcoming and gave us a thorough explanation of both the property and the surrounding area. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the showers are excellent. The property has a pool, bar area and pretty gardens and you can sit on the patio outside your room and enjoy a drink at the end of a day's exploring. The breakfast is hearty and delicious and starts the day off well. This property represents excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it to anybody visiting the area.
