Didn’t realise it was used for refugees, would not have stayed if we new this!! Didn’t feel comfortable at all. People sitting outsource entrance, not nice. Very disappointed that this hotel is displayed on website especially not advising of refugee stays.

Good location to the city but poor hotel and in need a lot of work. No towels and had to ask for them at reception, it had one working lift and two broken ones. The room had no shower gel/amenities. The bed was poor and sinking in the middle. The bar/restaurant was shut the whole time and the hotel appears to have a lot of long term/stay residents. The staff at check in were lovely but that’s the only positive.

Should have been informed we were literally in the centre of construction site. 7.30 vehicle reversing beeps. Lots of battered bits in hotel. Breakfast very good. Staff helpful if you ask but not forthcoming with information.. okay but we won’t rush back.

Staff friendly, hotel has immigrant people in and out, hanging out side reception , demolishing buildings at the side we stayed at started 7.30 am every morning of or stay ,so no rest ,won’t be back which is a shame as we visit Glasgow a lot

Commonwealth games was on so naturally, the prices to stay here were unreal. For what i paid, i would expect the Hamptons! No air conditioning in the room, was like an oven & stuffy, even with the window open. The bathroom did not have a working extractor fan, making it very steamy/humid after showering. Room decor was very dated & felt i was in the 70's. Bed however was very comfy & did have a good nights sleep.

Absolutely terrible,poor, very outdated,smell was so bad, couldn't look out the windows,dirtyest place I've ever seen,so bed couldn't stay the night in the so called Britannica inn, sleeping outside seemed cleaner, couldn't bring myself to stay in it,so had to drive home after the show we went to see,best advice DO NOT BOOK THE BRITANNIA INN IN GLASGOW,YOU WILL REGRET IT

It was a pity that there was no air conditioning although the room seemed to be equipped with the controls. Only one window wouldn’t open to allow fresh air! Requested a fan but it did not work although at the second attempt a working fan was supplied! Great location although amid significant building works outside. Price was high although it was amid the Commonwealth Games session.
