For the price it was a nice clean room. Dated but clean and that’s all I care about

Sketchy Dated but nice staff

This hotel is dated and would have been amazing in the 80s. The desk staff was friendly but the place has a rundown grimy feel. The pool was dirty but could have been fine with a good skimmer and run the filter. The sketchy part was some of the people staying here.

Very clean room! Nice price. Even the shampoo was great and not some watered down generic stuff. Often I find lower priced places to be dirty and low level amenities but not here! Very nice place close to Cedar Point too!

This place was perfect for the price we paid. The staff was incredibly friendly. The place needs some upgrades as it is very dated, but it was clean enough and you can tell the staff try their best to keep it looking great. It has a beautiful courtyard and a decent looking pool. If this place gets some updates and renovations, it will easily be a top tier hotel.

Staff was so kind and helpful. Even with renovations, they outdid themselves! Will definitely be coming back.

The front desk woman helped me make sure there was a refrigerator in our room so i could keep my breast milk good !!! I was away from my newborn and she made sure we had what we needed ! The price is right , exspecially if your not planning on being there n need just for sleep and showers!!

Avalon Inn is perfect if all you're needing is a clean place to sleep. It's not the prettiest place. A little rough around the edges. But the bed is comfy and clean and the rooms are cheaper than anything else in the area.

Just your average hotel

Hotel was decent, they definitely had some things to work on but was bug free and clean enough for me. Bed was comfy. Perfect hotel for a couple night stay. They do not have a maid yet i dont think, so you do have to ask for more towels if need be. Lock situation was a little sketchy but they work non the less.

2/10 Poor

This place should not be listed on Expedia! I’m disappointed because I paid decent money. Yes it was across the street from cedar point but that doesn’t make it a good property and I would have expected Expedia to do some research before including such a dilapidated hotel (I wouldn’t even call it that)
Samir, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Everything was fine. Sure, a tiny bit dated, but plenty clean and impossible to beat for the price. I accidentally booked for the wrong day and they fixed it. I would (and probably will) absolutely come back when visiting cedar point, as long as the secret doesn’t get out.

Very basic. Very mediocre. Clean-ish, but very rundown. Felt like there was a layer of grime on everything. Room was quite dark without the blinds open, which was awkward on the ground level
Zachary, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Spent 2 nights, 3 days here in the king room. There was a microwave, tv, iron board/iron, a coffee pot with cups. Outlets on lamp are finicky. The location is conveniently close to Cedar point & has plenty of parking as the area is car dependent. If you don't get the dining plan at Cedar point, the usual big chains are nearby & Berardi's is a good local spot. Considering the price point, expect a bug sighting or 2 as the rooms lack ventilation and have a lingering mildew smell. The walls are thin so you will hear everything, don't reccommend if you're a light sleeper. The bed was comfy and the water pressure was strong. Check in was easy, attentive, and helpful.
