We received a generous room upgrade without asking upon arrival and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious while our view of the Matterhorn was breathtaking. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Zermatt!

However, given the rate we paid, we were surprised by how basic the overall hotel experience felt. There were maintenance issues with the tub and other small details that didn’t quite meet expectations. While the staff was friendly and made efforts to address the problems, the property ultimately felt more like an upscale budget hotel.

Lovely stay!

We had a really nice stay at the Hotel Ambience, it had lovely staff (it was a small team as it was off-season, but they were really kind and helpful). The rooms were comfy, breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed having a relaxed drink on their terrace with a view of the Matterhorn.
