Awful, rundown and shabby. Only redemption, the sfaff, despite the choas they tried. Martha was a real star, and deserves a better job

Not well managed and the distance from the Coventry train station was too long.

Nice enough place but quite a few issues. Arrived at reception and was being checked in as the wrong person, then find out that they charge £8 per night for parking (not easy to find when booking). Got to the room which was in need of modernising. Some lights not working in the room, some furniture missing, and window fittings were flaking/falling apart (windows would not close or lock properly). Beds were clean and comfortable enough but mattresses are quite thin. Overall, we got a good nights sleep in a comfortable enough bed. Place does need modernising and some better attention to detail with things like check in and maintenance.

Pretty shabby stay. Extremely helpful receptionist. But the hotel needs a lot of work to get up to a reasonable standard.
真实点评

2/10 较差

To start, it took nearly 2 hours from ordering to receiving our dinner, the only thing that is redeemable is how apologetic the staff were. There was obviously some back of house crisis, when it finally did arrive, it was only how hungry we were that made us eat. Food was very poor. Rooms shabby. Tvs that didn't work. Showers that didn't work. Overall, awful

For the £ very pleased, it’s a beautiful old building but with that high maintenance, and building looks tired in places. But clean, staff friendly, free accessible parking was kindly given an upgrade as booked wrong room, very quiet. I would use again as a quick overnight stay around work.

真实点评

The current owners have only had the property a short while hence my poor comment on decor and maintenance. They are renovating the property however the staff were very polite and helpful. Our en-suite rooms although dated were clean. The beds and bedding were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, ample choice only negative comment I can say is ceramic mugs/cups would be nicer than the ones provided. We wish them every success.

The hotel was fine but very tired and basic. Fine for an overnight. Breakfast was offer for 15 and over priced. It was again fine, but no coffee or hot water was available. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Bit of an odd mix. Fine for an overnight stay or airport stop off but I’d not recommend the breakfast purely based on cost.

On arrival was meet with a smile and asked how we were and once checked in was shown to our room and said if we needed anything not to hesitate to ask , The room was very spacious and clean , we didn`t eat there on this occasion but what we could smell coming from the dinning room was amazing . Would happily stay there again .

Very poor quality Hotel. Very dated look and feel, smell of paint throughout, poor flooring and decoration. Windows wouldn’t open in the room, Would not recommend if travelling to Birmingham.

The restaurant food was top notch. There are new owners and they have a lot of work to do to bring the hotel up to scratch but they are making headway. The staff are lovely and attentive.
