Our stay at Placemakr was frustrating from the start. It took us over an hour just to get into the building because the Latch app never worked. I was outside in the dark trying to get in, calling the front desk repeatedly with no answer. A tenant eventually let me in. When I finally found the front desk, the staff member first said I was using the app wrong, but when it didn’t work for him either, he admitted it often doesn’t work. He gave us only one key card and said they didn’t have another, which made things difficult for two adults. I tried to troubleshoot the Latch app, it never worked.
Parking was also inconvenient. We were told there was elevator access from the 6th floor of the garage, but there wasn’t. We weren’t offered a luggage cart and later learned they were kept in the office out of sight.
Inside the room, we found only two towels for three people. Since my husband had the only key card, I couldn’t leave the room to get more, and no one answered the front desk phone. During this time I couldn’t even take our dog to the pet area and ended up having to put him on the balcony. The pull-out couch was extremely uncomfortable, and our daughter ended up sleeping on the regular couch. We also found an empty vodka bottle under the pull-out bed, which was disappointing since the room otherwise seemed clean.
We appreciated that dogs are allowed, but the access issues, unresponsive staff, and lack of basic supplies made the stay stressful. I would not stay here again.
