The check-in experience was quite disappointing. On Expedia, the check-in time was listed as 2:00 PM, but when we arrived the host told us check-in was actually 3:00 PM. I even sent a screenshot showing the 2:00 PM time. The host suggested we leave our luggage and come back at 3:00 PM.
When we returned at 3:00 PM, the cleaning lady was still cleaning and mopping the floors, so the apartment was still not ready. We had to leave again and come back around 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain outside, so we had no real option but to walk around the area to kill time.
At checkout, I asked if we could extend the checkout from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM since we had lost time during check-in, but the host said it would cost an additional fee.
Overall, the delayed check-in and lack of flexibility made the experience frustrating. I hope the host improves the communication and preparation of the apartment for future guests.
