I had a good stay. Everything worked well. Read some comments of a bit worn out hotel beforehand. Well yes, it is not brand new and probably will need to do continuous refurbishing, but nothing disturbed me on my stay.

今回の部屋は、広く清潔で気持よく過ごせた。 ただし、シャワーやバスタブのお湯がぬるく、唯一の減点。 モスクが近くにあるため、早朝、コーランが聞こえるのも風情があった。 チェックインの際、ホテル側でExpediaの予約が確認できず、メールを見せることで対応してくれた。 また、チェックアウト時の支払いも、すでに支払い済みを伝えると、ホテル側でExpediaと確認するとの対応をしてくれた。

The Royal Chulan Seremban deserves better than its current manifestation. Its deficiencies clearly stem from under investment and lack of staff training. I moved 3 guest rooms after the first night . Two rooms had leaky toilets, the third didn’t- but stank of damp/mildew and had a mosquito infestation under the dark vanity unit. Gave up at room three (3) as it was going towards midnight. Better reporting by housekeeping to estates may have prevented ongoing damage to the building. Speakers of training, housekeeping " forgets" to check and clean the separate shower, and similarly " forgets" to deliver teabags & creamer requested by reception. The ground floor public areas are deceptively impressive. A pity that the " hotel" hospitality aspect is so lacking.

Check-in staff not familiar with procedure. I arrived at 2am, no other customer was there but still took them 30 mins to check me in. Property a bit rundown. I booked in executive deluxe suite, room is big but furnitures very old. Main door not able to lock - lock spoilt! Then there was no hot water for shower, only lukewarm water occasionally for 2 days. Got maintenance staff to have a look but said nothing can be done. So we have to bathe in coldwater. They are short handed on staff therefore room was only cleaned at 6pm! Then never top up amenities properly. Unfortunately this stay wasn’t very good but all I can say is at least the staff are courteous. I’m sure the management can do better than this being a good hotel these past years
