So, I started by choosing a room at Hilton Copacabana, since tomorrow is my birthday.
I checked in at 3pm, and I should be offered a room upgrade due to my Expedia Gold member status.
When I asked about that at the front desk, I was told there were no available rooms, since the hotel was fully booked.
I just showed the person available rooms through Hilton's website and basically I was told yes there were rooms, but not for me.After arriving at my room, I can easily tell you this is an old hotel, that is way below the expected quality level I've seen in other Hilton hotels (both in Brazil and abroad)
On the top of that, the air conditioner/heating does not work. Either its super ultra cold, or it should be turned off.
When they sent a technician to my room, he told me that was just the way it was.
A 3 star hotel is able to a thermostat that works properly...Just remembered one extra detail
The photos on the website did show a bathtub in my room/category
I was utterly surprised when I got to the room, and there is no such thing, just a regular shower at an old bathroom in desperate need of renovation..
